Overall, we came knowing it's monsoon season with unpredictable weather. I guess all guests knew the same so the beach was quite empty during our stay although rooms were fully booked. We wonder what those families and kids were doing in their room. We were sometimes the only ones at the beach side. We thoroughly had a very relaxing holiday.

The chalets are built on the slope of the hill, which means everyone gets the sea view; if not blocked by your front neighbours doing yoga or worse hanging out their laundry. See the chalets all have rooftop sundeck with hammock, and clothes hanging line. And so when you draw your curtains, your bed will be on the direct line of sight of your front neighbour’s rooftop. Not much privacy I would say.

Overall, I did enjoy my time at Alunan. I do forgive the bad experience because the other experiences were great and satisfying that make up to all the other bad ones. I think it is a perfect resort for a relaxing trip (or even a honeymoon!). Be reminded that the stairs can be pretty challenging for the elderly, children and others who need special attention. Pack light and prepare to walk up long flight of stairs.
That's my room for a night. It was 2-single beds equipped room with private balcony. The room has WIFI, air conditioner, TV and kettle. Since I need to work on my laptop, I would prefer if they could put in a chair in the room.

Overall, if you are looking for that special private place on Perhentian Island in Malaysia, Bubbles Resort would be one of my recommendations. They provide friendly services, they are kid-friendly, there is a great atmosphere and a private beach all to yourself. This is one of the rare resorts in Malaysia that will cater to what I just mentioned.
Verdict: It’s my first visit to Pulau Redang and as a non beach lover, I enjoyed immensely my holiday at Laguna Redang Island Resort. The water playing in picturesque crystal clear sea, stroll by the beachfront, decent food and accommodation, and of course the precious bonding time with the families, has make up to a perfect short getaway! The only downside is I need to purchase more whitening products for my tanned skin. T_T

We were more than happy staying in Bubu Long Beach Resort. Located at the 13th best beach of the world and the breath taking view of the South China Sea, it is worth every penny staying in Bubu Long Beach Resort. Overall, we were impressed by the service of the hotel, the cleanliness of the room, the gorgeous food, the sandy white beach and the crystal clear sea water. This is totally more than our expectation. If you want a perfect island getaway, Bubu Long Beach Resort in Perhentian Kecil is one of top recommendations without breaking a bank. It’s the perfect place to take your fill of the sun, sand, sea (vitamin sea)…
This type of accomodation would be comfortable enough for backpackers, those used to roughing it out or camping, those who are from the kampung and those who are contented with basic comfort, but not those who are more used to fancy accomodations or more fussy about their surroundings and those who have OCD…
