Verdict: It’s a good bowl of Sam Kan Chong and satisfactory guaranteed. Actually there’s another notable Sam Kan Chong noodle stall located inside the kopitiam right opposite this restaurant which I have been eating since I was a kid. Both are well worth checking out if you’re looking for Sam Kan Chong noodle.
All in, this is truly a case of OG knows best. The pork balls are stellar with good bounce, texture and taste. We prefer the dry noodles to the soup noodles. We also enjoyed the balanced flavours of the pepper pork soup. Also, the place is clean with tables set up at the five foot walkways providing good ventilation and natural light (pandemic-friendly!).
Ho ma gawd! These pan mee dishes were delicious, yawww! Burp! Just a word of advise….Try visiting this eatery at noon, especially when it just open for the day – at 1 pm. You can expect good and fast service, awesome food and a pretty clean restaurant
Hippie cafe is a hidden artistic cafe with a rustic touch. A hipster cafe serving exquisite desserts and cakes, and also unique imported beer.
Personally, I felt the highlight of the meal was their braised pork @ RM11.50 per portion. The savory sauce is packed full of flavor and carries a hint of spiciness which makes it appetizing as well. Besides this, another dish worth mentioning is their unique braised pork trotter with sugar cane. If you are interested to try, you need to pre-order it.
