                        To usher in the Year of the Dog, at Dynasty Restaurant, Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin and his team have come up with several festive menus featuring fine Cantonese dishes.                                   The Mid-Autumn Festival is less than a month away and mooncakes are on sale everywhere now! So where do you get your mooncakes? I mean, there are just so many to choose from. At the malls, there are so many kiosks set up to sell these delicacies – so which is your favourite? Recently I tried some of the mooncakes at Dynasty Restaurant at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel and they do have a pretty good selection. The pork-free Dynasty Restaurant has started selling its mooncakes since 29 August 2017 and will be available till 4 October 2017 Dynasty’s mooncakes are on sale at the hotel as well as at Mid Valley Megamall until 4 October 2017. Besides checking out their mooncakes, we also couldn’t resist Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin’s Signature Peking Duck which is currently priced at RM60.60 nett per bird.                                         Half-priced Dim Sum for week-day lunch? Or a create-your-own 4-course meal for RM49.90 nett per person… both happening at the Dynasty Restaurant (pork-free) at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Yes, that’s where you can get these fantastic feasts! But it’s only until 29 August 2017 – note that down in your calendar. I think the 50% Discount offer on Dim Sum for week-day lunch is a good deal. It’s certainly worth considering if you are in the city within the hotel’s radius. Who would say “No” to a light, quick tasty meal with a good variety of items to choose from? Dim Sum at the Dynasty Restaurant has always been very decent, freshly made and served efficiently.

                                            I always know that when an invite comes from the Renaissance Hotel KL, the end result is inevitably a food coma of sorts. Whilst I first mourned the passing of one of the last bastions of non halal dim sum places in local hotels, I was massively comforted by the outstanding quality of dim sums that were pork free, that we got to sample whenst they first turned over the new leaf, and went PORK FREE. Memories of those glorious golden yam puffs that melt in the mouth, those plump siu mais...the list goes on. Anyway, until 29th August, there's a 50% promo off dim sums during lunch time from Mondays to Fridays, which is a damn good deal if you ask me. Or you can create your own 4 course menu at RM49.90 nett per person, for lunch OR dinner.
