A nice old school coffee place, with good local coffee. You come here mostly for the vibe, and enjoy simple but nice food.
Beside its toast bread and bun. Their pre-packed nasi-lemak its good too – pulau ketam nasi lemak will suit those prefer spicy while nasi lemak bungkuk is more savory and non-spicy.
总的来说,中国酒店也许是当地人怀念的老地方,是上一代人熟悉的记忆,吃的也许不是最佳的美味,而是那一份在记忆中的味道。
The Nasi lemak Bungkus was pretty nice. It came with the usual items – rice + anchovies + sambal + half an egg + cucumber + peanuts.
Their kaya was excellent.
For breakfast, I am having the 怡保鲜虾云吞鸡丝河粉 Ipoh Prawn Wanton w/Shredded Chicken Hor Fun Soup; comes with a thick prawn soup with 4 prawn wontons and some shredded chicken, still ok.
The Roti Bakar is too ordinary (seems not as before), but the Hainan Strong Coffee is still one of the best I ever had around Klang Valley.
這裡的生意由華人和馬來人一起經營,也吸引了各民族的顧客到這裡消費。
在这里吃的不是食物的美味,而是一股即将随着时代逐渐消失的老氛围。
Chong Kok’s kopi is probably the only thing I could say I thoroughly enjoyed – and it’s also the only thing I would gladly return for more. It’s incredibly rich, smooth and aromatic for a local coffee. Having said that, do ask for kurang manis because it’s a tad sweet by default.
