Pretty good, no complaints about the food. This place is fairly crowded, so can't stay long and have some minimum orders.
My favorite is definitely their Signature Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori. The earthy flavor of tie guan yin tea pairs surprisingly well with milk and the chewy tapioca pearls, yam mochi and sweet potato mochi are just the right amount of 'QQ'. The chewy trio are all flavorful individually and the brown sugar syrup is surprisingly not too sweet.
Ambiance: 6/10 Price: 6/10 Food: 6.5/10 (pork-free) Verdict: Definitely a spot to consider if you’re into shaved ice desserts. Try the Iron Lady Milk Tea and Classic Grass Jelly.
Aftermeal Desserts Address : 52,Jalan SS21/58, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, 47000, Malaysia. We had ordered Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori RM22/5.1...
I love grass jelly and the Classic Grass Jelly here is excellent. The bowl, with shaved ice at the bottom is piled high with wobbly jelly and crowned with red beans and crunchy roasted almond flakes. Like the kakigori items, it’s also served with a bowl of sweet potato and taro balls and boba pearls soaked in a light brown sugar syrup. Fresh milk is served separately which you then pour all over the jelly before digging in!
The first drink that instantly caught my attention is their Classic Wintermelon Tea @ RM 9. One of the best drink I come so far as the winter melon tea is quite prominent in taste and not too sweet yet the transparent pearl gives you a suprise element as I was drinking it without any expectation. – Recommended
Also their service is really good! Come see for yourself.
Bentong Ginger Soup with Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Ball (RM16.00) Filled up your tummy with some hot and hearty bowl of ginger soup. They are served hot with the kick of gingery taste that I love. And what’s more is their deliciously packed glutinous rice bowls stuffed with the fragrant black sesame. Awesomely good.
This was my favorite : Classic Calamansi Yokan (RM16). The dessert came beautifully layed with calamansi yokan, chewy white pearls, longan, and topped with a slice of lemon. Underneath, calamansi infused shaved ice with sea coconut. This was definitely a refreshing treat - sweet and ever so lightly sour. I like this - a lot.
Iron Lady Tea Kakigori, 20 ringgit Taste wise – it was awesome. The Oolong tea had a nice, natural sweetness to it, derived from the brown sugar used. The kakigori came with some red beans, almond flakes on the top and some grass jelly on the bottom. That by itself was good, it allowed for different textured which kept the dish exciting. I was already excited to begin with but what got me bursting with even more excitement was the sides. The kakigori came with a side of boba/pearl and taro – all made in house. The taro particularly were softer than the regular taros I’ve come across. They intended the taro to reflect the texture of a mochi and so while it was chewy, it is less solid and stiff and made for a perfect addition to the kakigori
Verdict: Exceptional warm and friendly service Fantastic cooling desserts for a hot day!
My friends visited this eatery named Aftermeal in Uptown (same row with Annie 1) just to purchase drinks as takeaway after our lunch at Mama Lee
