Everything we ordered was very tasty, if not expensive, for what it is. There’s so much we want to try on the menu that we seriously considered coming back here for dinner a few hours later. If we lived nearby, there’s no doubt that we would be regulars at Strangers at 47.
Slightly disappointed with the BBC and Coffee Orange. The butter fish rice is good.
If seafood is more your thing, there’s Miss Dory (RM22.50), comprising breaded and deep fried to golden perfection fish fillet, battered squid, citrus-cucumber onion salad, potato pumpkin mash, roasted cherry tomatoes and homemade sriracha mayo lime. All the flavours and textures — the crunchy from the fish and squid, the soft and smooth pumpkin mash plus the tangy cherry tomatoes and mayo lime — come together wonderfully.
Well, my first dishes; Lethal Shrooms. It is one of the signature of their specialty crepes. Once I bite this crepes, the taste is quite good. So Yummy! Inside the crepes, a various of the portions combined together such as a mixture of mushrooms: portobello, shimeji & baby king oyster mushrooms, tomato relish, spinach, caramelised onions and poached eggs with balsamic reduction. This crepes is the best taste ever I experienced.
Uncle Salmon, 28 ringgit The crepe and its filling worked really well together. I guess my friends were right, the crepe taste good and it also fills you up.
Perut kenyang. Hati girang. Makanan kat sini not bad.
One of the best cafe in PJ, food quality and service wise. My favourite is the shroom crepe.
Good service by a team of young and energetic waiters and waitresses.
Price was reasonable and portion was perfect for one person.
Both my friends ordered this nasi lemak crepe at MYR 21+ (10% service charge = MYR 23.10 nett). Basically it is just nasi lemak chicken with a sunny side up egg and rice wrapped in a savoury crepe.
在这里度过一个快乐时光很容易,在这款特别的'Adam's Sin'(RM11)上咀嚼着温暖多汁的肉桂色苹果,全麦面包屑,蓝莓和咸味焦糖,与香草冰激凌融为一体。
For us, we strongly recommend to try out Shore to Please. It is basically fried prawns and squids wrapped in a crepe dressed with their special sauce. The combinations is very creative and tasted very good.
Some of the other crepes - my suggestion is do not be too adventurous, stick with the flavours you're familiar with. I'm surprised they don't have my favourite Nutella Banana Crepes though! It reminds me of summer in the UK :)
Strangers at 47 is one of the few cafes in Klang Valley that I hold in high regard. This is my 4th visit over a year and both the food and service had never given me a cause for complaint, a testament to their consistency which is something very commendable.
Eggcited over Cheese (RM 24.50) It was a seasonal item during my visit. A wholemeal crepe is stuffed with chicken chorizo, caramelized onions, baked mozzarella cheese, golden hash brown, rocket leaves, a golden sunny side up and finished with homemade tomato basil sauce. I did look like a mess but the multi-dimensional layers of flavors and textures making it a memorable rendition.
This is one of the cafes I don't mind coming back again and again. Perhaps the price is unreasonably high, but their savory meal is unreasonably full feeling! Just order 1 savory and 1 sweet meal (or 1 sweet meal and a cup of matchacoco), and you'll get an enjoyable dining experience here. A slip of coffee with a good book, now that's my kind of heaven *ahhhhhh*
Since they are pretty well known for their dessert crepe, decided to order Purple Rage @ RM 9. Sweet potato crepe, Japanese Sweet potato, coconut sago pandan infuse with gula Melaka. Very simple presentation that everything is purplish that place ontop of gula Melaka. Its a great dessert, aromatic of sweet potato, coconut and gula melaka are all well balance and could taste all 3 of them equally. I would say worth to try out for this. No doubt that their service is top notch. If the place is filled up, do have patience in waiting for your food as crepe is not pre made item.
