But I think it does deserve a visit if you are a fan of ramen.
Verdict: I’m glad that we’ve finally tried this Tokyo style ramen and definitely a contented ramen experience. We will be back!
Kuro Musashi Ramen - MYR 27+ (6% GST = MYR 28.60 nett).
Kuro Ajitama Ramen is my boyfriend always go to ramen in Menya Musashi and it tasted delicious. I love the noodle texture and the soup as well. The soup is the special mix of fried shallots and garlic flavoured oil. I was shocked when it was placed infront of us as the soup looks a kind off black however when I mix it well the ramen, it turns to little milky colour. Pretty Unique!! Kuro Ajitama Ramen @ RM 29.90
They have several types of soup-based ramens here, we ordered two bowls of Musashi Ramen (RM26) with onion-flavoured tonkotsu soup (shiro) as well as extra noodles and two extra eggs for the kids. Somehow, the soup here tastes different from the one at Intermark, but not in a bad way. It is rich and creamy, and very flavorful and I especially liked the pork cha siu here.
Musashi Ramen, Aka Ki (RM28) My boyfriend's regular order here is the Aka Ki Musashi Ramen which is perfect for those who love curry noodle! I also love this as well. It is not too spicy but just right. The broth is again really rich in flavour just like my Kuro Aka broth.
I ordered their Kanzan garlic black for RM 22++. When it comes to their broth, their 100% signature pork bone broth is something you should craved for. The broth is tasty with the fragrant of the long cooking hours of the pork bone and it goes well with the noodles and the big pieces of “char siew”. It definitely lives up to the reputation in serving quality ramen for its guest. This is definitely one of the best places for ramen in Malaysia. This samurai can seriously cook some kick ass ramen!
Now and then, the chefs will shout something in Japanese loudly while one of them pull the noodles out from the boiling water and strain them. Very lively and interesting atmosphere.
Tsukemen Ajitama Ramen Rm 25 .00。
Do come early if you want to avoid the queue. Believe it or not, the queue starts to form even before the restaurant opens.
If you are a fan or ramen then this is one of the shop that you must not miss and for first timer, it is definitely worth a try. It is slightly expensive but then its good!
Well, Menya Musashi has just opened an outlet in Isetan’s Eat Paradise – that spanking new little food court on Level 2 of Isetan 1-Utama. It’s only about a few days old and slowly but surely, people are finding this out. Step into the outlet and you will be impressed by the very enthusiastic rigorous greetings from their crew, from the usher and cashier at the front right down to the kitchen crew. You can see they are all very energetic and happy doing their stuff! The decent-sized outlet is just so full of positive energy and that’s not surprising because their head honcho there is none other than Master Chef Daisuke Yamaguchi.
