Botanico and Bee's Knees have definitely taken modern SEA cooking to the next level and I found myself surprised at every bite.
Beyond the inventive cafe dishes on the menu, another reason to visit Bee’s Knees is the atmosphere.
I like that the truffle carbonara has arugula leaves on it so that the bitterness can undercut the heaviness.
Portions are huge for sharing so it is best to get a group of friends down to share the variety (and calories). But do pick the right time to come or be prepared to queue.
I'll definitely visit again, and I can't wait to try their breakfast items! Also, you might wanna come by on Fridays to catch the acoustic 'Live' band performances(every alternate Friday).
Menu variety also would like to see them have more stuff since the chef obviously does very well!
We are definitely coming back again for the churros and papardelle!! For sure!!
Thankfully, the braised beef cheek was in slivers and chunks. To have it minced would be a waste of the lovely texture I feel.
We enjoyed the buttery Tiger Prawns (S$18+) pasta, which was full flavoured and came with plenty of juicy prawns and cherry tomatoes.
Overall, we enjoyed the concept of The Garage very much.
Like the food, the drinks served at the garden bar in the terrace are botanical-inspired. Signatures include refreshing tipples such as Garage Gin’Onic, Blackberry Lychee Mojito and Thyme Lemonade, which are easy on the eyes too.
