Overall, we really enjoyed the dishes here. The noodles and broth are exceptionally delicious, and we really like the mustard greens and tofu puffs here.

In Johor Bahru, you’ll find no shortage of eateries serving kway teow kia. But many taxi drivers swear by Restoran Woon Kiang. Touted as one of JB’s best, this eatery serves theirs in a herbal broth which sets them apart from competitors.
Woon Kiang is one of the most mentioned Johor Bahru kway teow kia shops on the Internet.
You eat the dishes with this kueh tiaw kia soup dish. This is a thin, flat noodle inside a mild tasting broth. I like it

The broth of Kuey Teow Kia has a hint of herbs, neither oily nor has irritating porky flavour. With the broth, the kuey teow taste silky smooth and tender. I would conclude is as a simple and hearty meal which worth our next visit!!
The noodles are usually served with braised pork gravy, along with few side dishes, including pork inner organs, braised tofu and eggs, as well as stewed salted vegetables. The pork intestines were sweet and fresh while the braised tofu and eggs were filled with the aroma of the braised pork gravy. In addition, I think the stewed salted vegetables tasted just right, not too salty yet not too bland. Overall, the restaurant definitely serves great food, with friendly waiters. It is obviously a must visit restaurant for those who loves eating kway teow kia. Till then, au revoir! :)
Thankfully, Woon Kiang opens till late and despite the late hour, there is a bit of a wait as people arrive for late dinner or supper. So if these sort of street food appeal to you, absolutely give kuey teow kia and Woon Kiang a try whenever you’re in JB!
If you are in Johor, and looking for good local food, definitely this is one of the place to hunt for. Highly Recommended!
A small bowl of noodle. For a guy, they definitely need a second bowl. When this bowl hot frangrant of Kway Teow noodle was served, I have a home-warth feeling. The feeling is like having empty tummy, and it's cold windy outside and this noodle bring hope and life.
