Overall, E & O has always been the top of the list when it comes to one of the best-quality buffets in Penang. It serves great varieties of food and the price is definitely value for money due to the quality and variety of the food. Parking is not a problem here as there is a multi-level carpark just within the hotel.

The wine list for the buffet isn't grand, but I did enjoy the Fire Road Pinot Noir from Marlborough, New Zealand. This Pinot possessing supple tannins, made for easy pairing with the wide variety of food. On the nose I got mushrooms, black tea, cola, perfumed raspberries, and hints of cinnamon. For the Palate I got a medium - body, medium - tannins, medium delightful acidity, and a pleasantly surprising medium + intensity of flavors of cheery, cranberry, and baking spices. I got a slight vanilla finish...kind of like the smell of a house after a vanilla cake is done baking, the aroma lingers, but in a pleasant way.
With lots of seafood variety too choose from, the seafood extravaganza buffet is definitely worth trying!
The highlights are the live cooking stations. Between five to ten chefs are in action at any one time. The char kway teow post is a popular one and the chef on this wok is certainly working for every cent he earns. The guy with the noodles is also well visited. Guests choose their ingredients, type of noodle and broth for their own recipe of soupy deliciousness.

The food there is fresh and nice. The price is reasonable because they have free flow of Red Wine, White Wine and Beer. It is the best place if you like wine and beer. They call it “Wine and Dine” and it only available on Friday and Saturday.
