I'd say good combinations, although a little salty as expected but tasty, appetizing, and satisfying meal.
Food today: 7 / 10 👍👍😋😋
This is the 8th visit to Milligram since October 27, and some days like today, the Café is almost empty before 12pm and then empty again after 2pm.
Oh! the 印度香料茶拿铁 Chai Latte was just fantastic and wished I could have it after the lunch meal instead.
Milligram offers FREE excellent high speed internet connection (so far, and no intermittent connection issues), also there are multiple electrical power points for digital devices for wall tables.
That sweet and savory taste challenges the taste buds but 100% went well with the Latte!
The rm$22 "豚肉カツサンド Pork Katsu Sando" did not impress, taste excellent but too much "FAT" portion; otherwise it would have been acceptable but still a little expensive!
So far, I keep coming back here because the Coffee and Food were great and don't mind the music or some noise but maybe not what looks like "a super busy Friday (like today)" next time!
Good coffee, good lunch, and a productive day at Milligram.
The internet wifi speed was excellent today, and I think Milligram is a working friendly Cafe.
It has been almost 3 months since I’ve last indulged in some waffles and having a taste of it now was simply divine. This dish is basically a case of what you order is exactly you get. If you wanted a dish with waffle, egg and fried chicken on it – you’d get it with this dish, nothing more and nothing less. If you are expecting fancy flavors, an equilibrium between sweet and savory, you most probably wouldn’t be wowed by this dish. Simple is what it was and one I enjoyed. You’d get half a waffle on the bottom with an egg topped with 2 large chunky pieces of fried boneless chicken. The ingredient that tied it all together was actually the mayonnaise that came on the side. The crispy juicy fried chicken with the dense waffle, egg and a dash of sweet, creamy mayo was a yummy mix. Burp.
一整个烤鸡腿topped在pasta上, 看起来棒棒的,吃起来也很合口味
Milligram's Ozzie Pancakes (RM19) is fluffy and light. It is served with a yoghurt sauce, lemon curd, fresh fruits and pork bacon -- yummy!
Nestum Bacon French Toast, 26 ringgit. This was dessert and main meal all in one. Who would have thought french toast + bacon + vanilla ice cream + banana + nestum would go well together? I know I did not. I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a go anyways since it looked appetizing. I am glad I did though because it was utterly delicious. The french toasts was dipped in nestum as oppose to the usual bread crumbs, it had the same effect though, perhaps even a lil more crunchier. The bacon used are cut into tiny bits, like the ones you would see in pastas – thin strips, lightly fried and are inserted within the toast, not on the top or the bottom but in between. The meaty flavor from the bacon accompanied with the soft, crunchy taste from the toast + the sweetness and creamyness from the vanilla ice cream – it all worked out real well. Another dish would order again. Worth every penny.
My set lunch: Chicken and scrambled eggs with cilantro lime rice at MYR 16.95 nett with a cup of hot tea and a small glass of lemon infused drinking water. The rice has a bit of an off smell in certain parts and we did feed back to the cafe only to be told that it could be the smell of cilantro which I personally do not think so because to me, cilantro does not smell like that. Nevertheless I ate the rice because it is just a bit of off-smell and I do not want to waste it. I have to say that so far the rice did not do me any harm as far as I can tell.
Here's mine - Smoked Pork Bacon Pasta - it was served with poached egg. The taste was quite nice - slightly saltier than usual and cheesy.
Reasons to visit: If you love cafes and comfort food, this is a place worth adding to your list of cafes to check out in Kuala Lumpur. Between the stringy Mac and Cheese, oozing with flavors and the over indulgent but so worth it, Jigglypuff waffle, there is something delicious and innovative for everyone.
Anyway, don't let that mislead you into thinking that Milligram's cakes are all looks, no substance. This slice of salted caramel chocolate cake does taste like it looks. Dainty and proper, it doesn't overwhelm you with chocolate or a dense texture. As a matter of fact, it was surprisingly light. Would have paired well with coffee.
Milli Mac + Cheese RM20++ I love this so much! Although it was a really guilty meal with cheese and bacon but seriously this just so worth it too. I order this with Bacon as well since I love bacon as well. Super super cheesy and best eat while it was still hot! The cheese is all over the serving too, the taste is so creamy and appetizing. Highly Recommend for those who love cheese and baked cheese!
MILLIGRAM’S BAC + CHEESE (MYR 19) Miligram’s version comes with luscious bacon slices that are generously mixed with the al dente macaroni that together are baked to perfection with the glorious melted cheese, sprinkled with some fresh herbs too.
