Curry fish head for breakfast? Kam Long Curry Fish Head is probably one of the locations you want to skip lunch crowd & go in the morning.
Taking a sip of the curry, it was a little spicy but not too over-whelming for me and the children. It is simply perfect to go with plain rice. The fish meat is firm which tasted spicy and sweet at the same time. Long beans, lady fingers, cabbage, fried tofu skin filled the claypot and we truly enjoyed our meal. The only pity I have was not able to spot any brinjal which was my personal favourite.
The curry fish head is served piping hot in a claypot. It is a typical Malaysian kind of curries that is not too thick nor spicy, The fresh curry fish meat goes extremely well with a bowl of rice…as for my mum she need to get a second serving of white rice! That goes to show how appetizing it was; all of us, including the two kids left the place feeling so so so satisfied. In total, we spent RM59, which includes the curry fish, additional plate of fried tau kee (RM3), 8 bowl of rice and 4 can of drinks!
The price of a meal is not cheap but neither is it too expensive, especially if a gang is to dine within with a larger claypot. One thing of note though: there are not much choices in drinks, not even coffee is offered. It will be a safe bet to just ask for soft drinks or the cheaper Chinese tea. 1 person's meal: RM16 small (enough for 1-2 persons): RM19 medium (enough for 3-4 persons): RM29 large (enough for 5-6 persons): RM36
