The Gaig’s traditional cannelloni came with a great creamy and truffly sauce, although a bit heavy. The jamon croquettes was competent. The suckling pig tapas had really crispy skin, but was quite porky. Really quite quality tapas.
I don't fancy the meat, but I was fine with it being in the paella because the porcini balanced it out.
I am definitely looking forward to returning.

The charcoal grilled octopus with cauliflower textures ($32.90. picture below) was an elegantly plated dish. Slices of octopus, pickled cauliflower and some unknown crunchy bits all combine to make a tasty dish.
If they keep delivering at this level, Gaig is well on the way to becoming the standard-bearer for good, hearty Catalan-Spanish cooking in Singapore.

It was a cosy dining experience at Restaurant Gaig for us. The service was warm and sincere, and the staff will be more than happy to share and recommend dishes if need be. And while the food provided us a good glimpse into Catalan cuisine which we are rarely exposed to in Singapore, we found the price point slightly high for its portion.

Gaig Restaurant Singapore was an oasis of calm in the bustling Telok Ayer area during lunchtime. Service was polite and friendly. It is a place we want to return to try their other dishes.
