I love how Flower in the Window plate their dish which is so colourful and appetizing. They put a lot of emphasis on the greens, salads and seasoning apart from just focusing on the meat. Definitely one of our favourite cafe around Tan Hiok Nee.
Another one of those REALLY popular eats among Instagram food bloggers, Flowers in the Window excels in providing you a very unique cafe dining experience, as well as providing exceptional healthy food straight into your tummies!
Another great place to visit in the Jalan Dhoby area of Johor Bahru. Is Flowers in the Window - A really good place to meet friends and enjoy some good food ...
This whimsical café is a sight to behold. Every corner of it is Insta-worthy and beautiful. We waited around 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon and was promptly seated on the first floor. During a second visit, we managed to snag a seat on the top floor sofa seats.
这一次来到一家环境非常优美舒适的咖啡馆 ... 一踏进门口就迎来香香的玫瑰花味道🌹暂时离别烦扰的工作，这就是午后的慵懒时光
Before our actual food came, we already had a slice of Rose Pistachio Cake as recommended by the staff. Those rose buds on top seemed real enough not to be eaten. As for the cake, the texture was fluffy but a tad dry. The saving grace was perhaps the berries jam in between the two layers of sponge cake which made it easier to swallow. That aside, it was a pretty slice.
This carrot cake was studded with organic purple carrot and walnut. The cake was soft and moist. Not overly sugary, it just tasted of gently sweet purple carrot with nutty walnut and hints of cinnamon. I love this.
For mains, missus had the Pan fried Salmon with couscous and super food salad. The dish was beautifully plated with shavings of cucumbers, beetroots among others for the salad. The salmon was nicely pan friend and had a nice crust.
The facelifted Roost was renamed Flowers in the Window boosting an indoor garden with floral decorations (flowers and plants), that made it stood out along the now café-infested Jalan Trus. It was an unique and whimsical experience in the garden setting of the café with high ceilings (2-storey) and an open kitchen.
Maintaining the quality of well-preparedness, the bread at the café is a must-try if you are looking for a delicious yet light snack. Typically, one type of bread comes in two servings of the same kind, both delivering flavour. Beetroot Humus, Feta Cheese, Walnut & Local Rocket – RM16
