From my visit, the food is good but I received many personal feedbacks that the food here are overrated. This is not a paid review from the restaurant but sponsored meal from a friend.
Selain makan, korang boleh memancing kat kolam sini. Harga tu x sure kira camana. Sebab tujuan aku pergi pun nak makan. Pastu snap la apa patut. Selalunya kami order kengsum (asam pedas Thailand). Else Peanut fish.
A great place to get away from the city and relax .
We arrived and set up on the road near the restaurant (fishing the main catch & release pond). Two anglers were already in action when we arrived and had got the fish into a bit of a frenzy with frequent bread ground-baiting. We tagged onto the edge of the action and started to get bites almost immediately. I got bitten off a number of times by pacu, either at the strike or during the fight, before I eventually landed the first fish:
Fish Valley is home to several fish species namely pacu and the Mekong catfish as the star of the pond. You’ll also find a variety of carps here such as Leekoh and Golden Leekoh, Grass Carp, Tongsan, and Rohu (Indian Carp). The less frequently found on the catch and release pond is Baung. There are also plenty of Tilapia (Red and Black) and the Lampam Jawa (Javanese Barb).
The pucuk paku salad (RM20) was one of my favourites that afternoon. I liked that it had a good balance of tangy, sweet and savoury flavours, with a nice bite from the vegetables. The seafood was also fresh so that added a nice texture to the overall salad. I only wished they were more heavy handed on the coconut milk; that would have been perfect.
Next is the Chilli Crab. We order 2 crab for 4 person and it is very big. Fresh and Meaty and go very well with the thick and flavourful gravy.
Restaurant Fish Valley Semenyih is one of those ever popular restaurant which offers both a nice laid back, weekend fishing environment as well as doubles up as a restaurant serving seafood. You can see big four wheels, vans, sedans and motorbikes a like, parked under a shady spot they have picked out for themselves, and the family sets up for the day to fish. It’s all very family oriented and fun, if you can hack the heat.
ini ikan Jelawat, pertama kali saya makan..banyak tulang..ermm manis,sedap.. ini masak stim namanya..
Nyonya steamed tilapia fish. This was recommended as the house specialty and was said to be quite mild. The 'mild' turned out to be tear-inducing for my sister-in-law but was greatly enjoyed by the rest of us. The blend of herbs and spices used to create the Nyonya sauce gave it a pungent, spicy and slightly sour taste which complemented the fresh tilapia. Verdict : Very good
