        Was not disappointed with Food Foundry and certainly eager to check-out its sister operation "Butter + Beans at 17" as well as "Feeka Coffee" by Asian Age Group, the earlier in Happy Mansion as well and later in KL.

                I have been staying in Petaling Jaya for few years and yet I have not visited many cafes nearby. Food Foundry is a cozy and homely restaurant located at Happy Mansion. :) You can easily notice Food Foundry at ground floor of Happy Mansion. It is a small restaurant well furnished with white theme. It is really a big contrast compared to old building there.

                  Food Foundry’s Tiramisu Cake topped with Almond is quite good. The toppings tastes the same with the earlier almond salted mille-crepe. The heavy aroma of the coffee flavour instantly makes this the best dessert we had here. Priced at RM13, this tiramisu cake is recommended to those who likes tiramisu cakes.

                    Verdict: This restaurant is best described as serving comfort food. Our only problem here was the service.This place is always crowded on weekends, so it’s best to make reservations first.

                      The Foundry burger is essentially a very basic burger - grilled beef patty topped with caramelized onion, a slice of cheese and the usual salads. Now, let's start with the good stuff. The burger buns were soft and lightly toasted - I liked that. The patty was dense, a little dry and a tinge too salty but I still managed to gobble it down. The slice of cheese - I don't even want to talk about the cheddar, isn't it obvious that it has been carelessly stacked on top of the patty with no intention to get it melted prior whatsoever? Also, the caramelized onions, practically tasteless and probably leftovers from yesterday's mixture. The fries - looked and tasted stale, like it has been sitting in the fryer for awhile. The coleslaw - no seasoning at all, as I only taste mayo. Pardon the harsh words but Ramly does better.

                        Almond Salted Caramel It is the case of “Never judge a book by its cover”, hehe. This innocent- looking confectionary isn’t ordinary mille crepe as its counterpart; Vanilla flavor. Being one of the latest additions to the selection at bakeries counter, it has gained popularity among sweet tooth fans pretty fast. According to the staff, this is one of the hit among its peers.

                            Verdict? Not as magnificent as Nadeje’s. Only 3 flavours on the menu, and the cakes at Food Foundry suffered from a slightly soggy texture; not as fluffy as Nadeje’s nor the cream as luscious. Could not put my finger on it, since we were sharing the cakes and the different flavours were not of significant difference between each other. The chocolate and vanilla versions were slightly better than the strawberry in my opinion.

                              Moist Chocolate Cake This slice of chocolate cake also tastes different from the normal one. the chocolate on the cake is melting as you can see through the picture. not "kedekut" for the chocolate at all, having each bite just like eating the real chocolate. however, it is a bit too sweet for me.

                                The crepes were all really good. I liked the vanilla one the most 8D Original flavors are always safe and delicious XD The cream was light and not too sweet. The portion was big! For the price we paid, it was worth it~ We couldn’t finish our portions. Luckily, Jared didn’t order and Ezel’s black forest cake was small so we had help with our portions hahaha. But as of late, the portions have decreased in size =(

                                  ‘Soup of the day – Tomato cream soup’ turns out to be very aromatic, creamy that tomato taste is strong but dipping it with their homemade bread is something that goes along very well. RM 8

                                      Good environment to enjoy a piece of mille crepe and a cup of coffee while watching the big screen for shows. The restaurant are secluded from busy cities and situated in residential area yet with plenty of customers.

                                        The Slice of Heaven – Mille Crepe, a french cake made of many crepe layers. Light and lustrous, I used to crave for this every single day that I feel sick of it. However, looking at pretty pastry layers after some time, my cravings came back. How nice if Nadese Patisserie’s mille crepe is being delivered to my door stop right away? The price has hike up from RM 7 to RM 9 per piece but that has never stop patrons from keep going back and Food Foundry has even expanded to another outlet at Bangsar.

                                          Of the three flavors, my favorite was plain old Vanilla, the texture of 20 layers of crepe with the taste of fresh custard and the vanilla flavor, very luxurious. It’s easily one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, and put Cheesecakes on a completely different scale altogether.
