Food at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant is focused on Chinese Sichuan / Szechuan and Chinese Cantonese cuisine. Ingredients are fresh, premium, and consistently well executed, resulting in delicious dishes.
I have to say I am really impressed with the dishes here.
The special brunch menu features unlimited servings of classic Cantonese, as well as Sichuan dim sum, appetizers, nourishing soups and desserts (including two Western-style sweets), alongside single-serving of exquisitely prepared premium dim sum specialties.
Besides the 9 single-serve choices of the premium dim sum specialities, they also serve unlimited portions of the other 26 choices
Si Chuan Dou Hua’s bento sets are nothing fanciful. You essentially get delectable comfort food. However, they deserved to be described as “gourmet bento sets” because the food was certainly at a level different from what we would get from the typical zhi char restaurants.
Not only was the food delicious, but it was also a very enriching gastronomic experience that widens my knowledge of Sichuan cuisine.
A flaky purple sweet potato exterior is filled with a sticky peanut filling. We loved that the peanuts were not too finely minced such that we were still able to feel the crunch of bigger peanut chunks.

Another dish on the menu that we all enjoyed is the Monkey Head Mushrooms with Black Pepper Sauce served on Japanese Magnolia Leaf.
Overall, I was definitely impressed with the spread of baby lobster dishes.
7 plus 1 different flavours to choose from at A Tale of Twin Baby Lobster will spoil diners, how can one not be tempted. And bear in mind these are true lobster, not look-alike.
I love the Deep-fried Prawns with Passion Fruit and Mayonnaise Sauce. The passion fruit sauce is sweet and tart, making the dish incredibly refreshing.
