Ra-Ft Breakfast, 33 ringgit I liked the fact that when I requested for scrambled eggs to be ‘runny’, it came runny. You’d be surprised how many times I’d have to return the plate for them to get it right the second time, elsewhere … many times. Thank god it was not the case here. Here, they listen. As you’d be able to see, this dish comes with a slice of homemade bread, mushrooms, baked beans, roasted tomatoes, bacon, chicken sausage, scrambled eggs and mashed potato. It was good, yummy. Every single item on the place was flavorful.
Verdict: It’s a feel-good cafe with nice dining environment accompanied by soft background music and attentive service. Prices are fair although the food we had not entirely great (the bagel was just mediocre) but the breakfast platter certainly manage to induce repeat visits to Fa-Ft!
Food was good and acceptable. Will likely return to try something else.
Overall, it's a great place for food and coffee with excellent service and great ambiance.
I once read a comment by a reader of eatdrinkkl and couldn't agree with him more...that we all get caught up with trying new places (I have to since I'm writing a food blog) and, more often than not, we get disappointed with these new outlets and would return to our regular 'tried and tested' outlets that we know will not disappoint....and that for me is a meal at Ra.Ft's :) Consistency is something that's extremely difficult to maintain and Ra.Ft has not let me down...their consistency in cooking, taste and presentation deserves a pat on the back. And the good news is...they've recently launched their Ra-Ft Loyalty Card to reward their loyal customers. But let me share yet another piece of happy news.....a new outlet is in the works...and it's coming to....(ooo, let it be a surprise!) ^_*
I like that this lovely eatery starts operating very early at 7.30 am and all the food items on the menu are available from this opening time onward. I also like that the food is not too sweet and not too salty - salt and pepper is provided separately for us to adjust the taste to our needs. We will definitely be back for the french toasts and to try the other food items such as fish and chips and pasta.
I was surprised to find the cafe a little quiet on a weekend dinner night as they have such a bustling crowd in the day. So, if you're looking for a place with a relaxing ambience and a chic setting for dinner (I dare say even romantic to some degree), this will fit the bill. Of all the food I've tried so far, there weren't any I didn't like but their French Toasts and Tiramisu are must-haves! This is a feel-good, taste-great kind of place...and rightfully cements its place among my most favourite cafes.
The food ticked all the right boxes for taste, value, portion and presentation....and the coffees were equally great too. The super friendly service and, in particular, Filippo's charming, chatty and engaging personality is bound to win you over. If you're working or staying in the vicinity of KLCC, this trendy and friendly Italian-style cafe/bistro in the heart of KL is a must-visit. An excellent spot to unwind and enjoy awesome food with family, friends or colleagues. What more can I say? My dining experience here was perfect.....just perfect! ^.^ I want (and need) more of such experiences! ^_~
Reasons to visit: super friendly staff, kids play area, great coffee, interesting drinks list, a place to unwind in the heart of the city
