For the meat lovers, THIRTY8 offers Australian 'Diamantina' Red Wagyu or Black Angus Beef from Stanbroke Farms. We had the rib eye (350g, marbling score 6 - RM350), which was thoughtfully sliced for sharing. Beautifully tender, melt-in-the-mouth and flavorful meat, we certainly enjoyed this and went straight to steak heaven. So so good! I'm also eyeing the Tomahawk for my next visit, very reasonably priced at RM350 for 900g.

One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp This dish was a favorite of mine. There were medium sized prawns coated in spicy sauce with a nice amount of sesame seeds and green onions sprinkled on it. You do not need to worry about the sauce being too hot – it wasn’t. It somewhat resembled the reddish orange sauce commonly used to coat Korean Fried Chicken?? The difference here is the flavor itself. First, the mild spicyness will hit you, immediately followed by short burst of sour tanginess. I think a drizzle of lemon zest was added too. It was delicious. If it wasn’t for the others being around, I’d most probably ‘hantam’ it all by myself but since that was not the case, ‘kena jaga imej’ right? Lol.

Roti Babi, 11 ringgit There were several dishes that were popular here and one of them is the Roti Babi. Just by looking around, you’d be able to see this dish on almost every other table. Sure, it is loaded with calories but it was da bomb. The top and bottom of this dish is made up of french toast and on the inside, there is a generous portion of flavorful pork minced meat + caramelized onions. Yummy!

Nasi Goreng, 12.50 ringgit. Okay, you guys have got to agree with me that there is something special about Indonesian styled fried rice as oppose to our local fried rice. Maybe it is the oil they use? or some spices? I do not know what but whatever they use is enough to make it distinct. This was one plate of deliciousness. Soooo good! For 12.50 ringgit, you would get a plate of delicious fried rice + pork + egg + fish crackers. I just died and went to food heaven. No joke. Every mouthful was as delightful as the first. It took them a while to perfect their Golden Boneless Stuffed Chicken with Chicken Tomato Salad. The chicken skin is utterly crispy and scrumptious. Coupled with the bouncy bites of the prawn and chicken paste, one can easily polish a few pieces of these. A lightly roasted tomato wedge topped with shredded chicken and drizzled with house made orange balsamic sauce proved to be a good yin to the yang of the stuffed chicken pieces.
