From Nara (1h15min, ¥860), you will need to take first the JR Sakurai line to Kōriyama (郡山), change to the Kintetsu Kushihara line to Kushihara-jingū-mae (橿原神宮前), and transfer one last time to the Kintetsu Yoshino line.

During the cherry blossom season
There are shuttle bus from Yoshino Station to Naka Senbon area near Chikurin-in Temple, about 3 times an hour, 360 Yen one way.
From Naka Senbon area near Chikurin-in Temple, take the mini bus to the Oku Senbon area of Yoshinoyama (15 minutes, 400 yen one way, 1-2 buses/hour).

It is well known for its cherry blossoms, and attracts many visitors every autumn.

Several important religious and pilgrimage destinations are located around Mount Yoshino, including Yoshino Mikumari Shrine, Kimpu Shrine, and Kimpusen-ji.
