槟城五星级酒店Eastern & Oriental (E&O) HOTEL 的餐厅Sarkies 于2020年6月12日 (星期五) 重新对外开放!
It was a night of splendor with the luxuriousness of ambiance, service and exquisite scrumptious cuisine.
虽然已经在槟城有稳稳地名誉和口碑了 他们也一直在提升自己,把料理做得更好。
Farquhar Mansion is a fine dining restaurant near Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
When it comes to pasta offerings, expect to tuck into the Seafood Risotto prepared with al dente Arborio rice. The creamy umami-rich risotto with many flavors and ingredients of tiger prawn, clams, calamari, and semi-dried tomato offers abundant heartiness.
Carbonara Smoked Duck – RM28, Smoked Duck Slices, Carbonara Cream, Egg Yolk, Speghetti Parmesan Cheese & Fresh Egg Yolk, Cracked a la minute. Even though this dish is not the signature here, yet the taste of this dish was simply delicious. The fresh eggs yolk made the pasta creamy when mixed together. On the other hand, the taste of the smock duck slices were tender and packed with aroma.
Was a bit disappointed la cause they looked like a restaurant/cafe that has it all. But then again, there were quite a lot of food items on their menu. But the Salted Egg Yolk Pasta is really the bomb!
Olive Oil Zucchini Bread (MYR 13) Comes with some sea salt sprinkles and whirl of smooth crème fraîche.
Both Cafe Latte (H) and (I) taste simply delicious. A beautiful combination of coffee and almond milk that packs a punch, delicious and smooth. In addition, what I love about this cafe is that they don't charge extra for Almond Milk. Sounds great right.
Reasons to visit: great coffee, charming setting, do try the zucchini bread.
Reasons to visit Cheong Fatt Tze – The Blue Mansion Penang: fantastic location; a culturally significant stay in a beautifully maintained museum with luxurious amenities and modern-day comforts; lap pool and garden; Indigo restaurant.
The Blue Mansion is now reopened, welcoming Penangites to stay and dine.
We stayed in the largest room category, the Han Suites, which is extra spacious and ideal for our family of four. All their rooms carry names with significance to Cheong Fatt Tze; for instance, our suite was called Mandarin, in honour of Cheong Fatt Tze who was recognised as the last Mandarin of the Highest Order by Empress Dowager. The grand chambers is appointed with a comfortable king-sized bed, as well as a separate sitting room with a day bed (which converts into a bed for the kids at night) and a dining table. We loved the modern bathroom, equipped with a shower and a gorgeous clawfoot bathtub. You will also find various other contemporary comforts and amenities such as a coffee machine, complimentary mini-bar, air-conditioning and complimentary WiFi for your comfort. The traditional sarong provided is a nice touch, where guests are invited to relax like a local. Every evening, local kuih is delivered to your room as part of their turndown service.
So yours truly was given the opportunity to stay at the JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La, on a recent trip to Penang and it was definitely a beautiful and memorable stay….
If you are looking for a reasonably priced mid-range hotel in George Town, I would recommend Hotel Jen Penang as the location is convenient to get around to most sights in the city centre.
The well known Hotel Jen in Penang is one of Hong Kong based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s premier hotel owners and operators.
The chefs at Cititel Penang is all prepared to welcome you to a delightful Christmas dining with all the season's favourites for you to indulge away.
Kids Eat Free! Cititel Penang has just recently launched their latest promo for Main Street Cafe where a kid below the age of 12 years enjoys a complimentary buffet meal with every paying adult.
Char koay teow and white curry mee represent Penang's renowned hawker scene.
The taste of the wantan mee are almost the same as before despite the chewiness of the noodle not as much and the gravy is more starchy. As for the Char Hor Fun, the taste is packed with wok aroma.
If you’re reminiscing the old taste, visit the place and try out their dishes.
Once a popular spot for a comfort bowl of Hong Kong style wonton mee, Hong Kee Wan Thun Mee officially announced their closure on Facebook weeks ago.
Polo Bun with Butter (菠萝油) – RM4.50, a very typical Hong Kong pastry. The top of the bun was covered with slightly sweet crust while the inner of the bun was stuffed with a piece of creamy butter. In Penang, it is so difficult to get Polo Butter Bun. That is the reason I came to this cafe to try out the bun. It is in fact one of their best-sellers and usually sold out by noon. The top crust was so nice and the bun was soft and warm. Having it with soft and creamy butter was simply satisfying. This bun is perfect when it is served warm.
For the menu, although I thought that the price is wallet-friendly but the choices are limited.
Milk Tea is signature, rich and milky taste.
Here's the location.
Not forgetting to go along with coffee of course. However, today the espresso-based beans have changed to Brazil and Sumatra blend compared to single origin Guatemala yesterday. Prefer the latter’s fruitier taste profile as this blend was kind of bold to my taste bud, hehe.
Lemon (MYR 25) Whipped yuzu ganache lemon and mint insert in white chocolate yellow lemon coating I must say that this was one of the best tangy desserts I had so far in terms of very citrusy pastry, after the vivid decadent memory last had at Bubba’s Gump- not for its prawns but Key Lime Pie, haha!
Besides the Teochew-style noodle, you can go all the way through to the Steamed Hor Fun with Groupa Fish Fillet and Roasted Pork with Crispy Noodle.
L Kitchen is a place where it’s suitable for all ages.
Overall, the food here was nice and some of the dishes were unique. However, certain dishes had a sweet ending
The chunks of tender lamb with notes of herbs are complemented by a big plate of fragrant white rice and a salad of tomato, lemon, and gherkins. A spoon of the sauce with the rice is just heavenly.
Halab Penang is probably one of the places where you can take someone for an amazing dining experience.

But yea, overall nice experience and my first hidden bar!
来到【天下第一客栈】,大家一定要点他们的招牌鸡尾酒 -- 女儿红!
Definitely, a "superb" interesting place to hang-out.
Now time for the highlight. It's durians! Well desserts with durians to be exact :)
The Lobby Lounge serves cakes and a variety of drinks.
The Wembley Penang welcomes you to the Lobby Lounge, a cozy ambiance for you to sit back, chill and enjoy the mouth-watering treats as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
There is no doubt that The Prestige Hotel is an awesome hotel but what is more interesting is the food they serve there at their The Glass House Restaurant.
Located in the Victorian Arcade of the hotel, this cafe exudes a vibe that makes it perfect for both brunch and a coffee break.

在 Two Frenchies 整体用餐的体验我还挺满意的,值得推荐给大家。
Confit De Canard (RM 32.90) features a dark confit sitting on a bedding of perfectly executed mashed potatoes. It is crispy on the skin and not too dry on the meat, and having it coated with the soft mashed potatoes is an indulgence.
