There are long tables in the cafe, suitable for group gathering. Under the cozy lights and air conditioning environment, this place make it so comfortable to chill out especially over a hot weather outside.
Their dim sum are affordably priced within RM2 to RM9.50 (SGD0.70 to SGD3.20) and my total bill for 2 pax amounted to about RM46 (SGD15.30), which is very good value for the quality of dim sum they serve. While there are quite a handful of online reviews which complained about their level of service and attitude of staff, I have to say the place is genuinely busy. Hence, I am contented with the good food and minimal service at this price point.
Overall, Restoran Gim Cheng Dim Sum still makes a great dim sum place. Do note that it can be very crowded during the weekend! You see the queue lining up from 9am. Once, I visited around 11am and find that most items were sold out. Thus, if possible be there early!

With swirly, twirly, tall exhilarating water slides, an obstacle course high up in the air and a large scale trampoline park, Austin Heights Water and Adventure Park is where all the fun is.
Overall, we liked that Austin Heights Water Park was not as crowded as Legoland Water Park which means a much shorter waiting time. When we were there on a Saturday, the crowd only slowly streamed in after 11am and even then we never had to wait more than 5 mins for any rides.
Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park at Mount Austin is a one stop station with Water & Adventure Park, Skating Rink, Drift and Jump Street all under one roof. We brought the kids to the theme park early last year and have been to the ice skating rink multiple times. Finally they get to try out drifting during the June holidays. The drift zone is not very big but there are enough twists and turns for drivers to try drifting in the drift carts. I picked the brownie (should have tried the choco lava) with one scoop of ice-cream flavour of my choice at RM15.90. I was WOW-ed to see my dessert being served on a saucepan with my favourite ice-cream topped on the hot pan-fried brownie cookie. Scooping some ice-cream and a chunk of cookie from the pan and savour the sweetness on my palate was simply awesome! A bit of chill from the ice-cream, and a bit of warmth from the cookie tantalized my taste bud.
Guo Ma Taiwanese Steamboat (锅妈台式火鍋) is a familiar name among the locals and many come in groups and go for their steamboat buffet. Hence, it is EXTREMELY HARD to get seats. To date, we only got lucky once among all the times we passed by the restaurant. Suggest that you make a reservation first prior to visiting to avoid disappointment.

The food at The Toast is nice and consistently good. Pricing is competitive and service is prompt and efficient.

The meats are fresh and marinations are mild, so we can enjoy the fresh meats' natural sweetness.
After eating so much of food, here is the dessert time! Every customers can get a free ice cream based on their preference. If you are still not enough with the sweet and yummy ice cream, you can still get from the refrigerator and each of them only cost RM 1! It is so cheap!
We chanced upon Myeong Dong Korean Restaurant which offers All You Can Eat BBQ buffet at an attractive price. RM22 for Adult (less than SGD 8) and RM12 for children (~ SGD4.50). I was a little skeptical about it but we were attracted by the pricing and decided to give it a try.

I was pleasantly surprised to read local flavours in their Durian cake, Ondeh Ondeh and Pandan Gula Melaka cakes! They have kept it authentic because I can even see a coat of fresh coconut flakes on the Ondeh Ondeh cake and drizzles of melted Gula Melaka on top of the Pandan Gula Melaka cake!
