Information & Tips about Nice House?
How nice it is…We wanted fish and settled upon snow fish…also known among the people here as Alaska fish or 鱈魚 in Mandarin which is, in fact, cod. My missus said it would be very expensive as one slice at the frozen foods stores would cost over RM20.00 each and we got two slices but as far as I was concerned, I thought it was perfectly all right as we would not be eating it all that often and besides, my girl enjoys it very much, just like how she loves the just-as-expensive salmon.

That’s my name…So when the nice lady taking our orders suggested kung pao sotong, I jumped at it right away and yes, it…was very nice. I loved the sauce especially! So far I only came across chicken being cooked this way
Want it again…I also asked for their steamed lajong…as we had not had that for a long time – not since January, 2017, to be exact, and yes, it was very good. I prefer this fish to the other better-known varieties such as tapah and patin as it does not have a very strong fishy smell and that night was no exception – we certainly enjoyed it very much.
Right time of the night…My girl ordered her favourite sizzling beef on a hot plate (RM15.00)… I am quite sure there is a bit of tomato sauce in that but lately, the mum has been saying that there is no wheat in that except for a certain popular (and more expensive) brand. Anyway, since it is not a tomato-based gravy, I guess they would not use that much and just a bit once in a long while should be all right.
Not so nice…My niece wanted the sea cucumber soup…which was nice, just that I did not think I could find any of the coveted stuff in it, not even a little bit.
It’s nice…We asked for the black pomfret/ikan bawal hitam (RM24.00)…or at least that was what it said in the menu but we were very sure that this was the very-much-more-expensive white pomfret/ikan bawal putih…We asked for it to be deep-fried and served plain like that so as to ensure that they did not add any sauce, not even soy sauce, in case they used anything that would render it not gluten-free and because it was so very fresh, it was very nice and we sure enjoyed it to the max.
