So the Gemalai Village was our first stop… It is a great eco friendly stay, for those who want to feel like experiencing a stay at a little “village” of 6 tatched Malay style wooden huts with gable roofs & even bamboo lined bathroom walls…
Sweet Waffles with Fresh Strawberries & Homemade Salted Butter Caramel Plus Ice Cream Plated beautifully; it felt blasphemous to destroy this aesthetic piece of art in front of me! Alas, the practicality in me wouldn't allow me to waste my good money that way! Buttery with just a light, thin crisp; i absolutely love this! The batter was of just the right thickness and fluffiness and complemented perfectly with the delicious coconut ice cream and the delightful (and not overly sweet) homemade salted butter caramel!
Seabass. Turned out the fish was incredibly fresh and it shows in the delicious, juiciness of the fish meat hidden underneath the grilled, crispy skin. And the meat goes perfectly with the accompanied chilli sauce!
Allure of food everywhere! Don't bother about having your meals in restaurants at the touristy areas as you would have a higher rate of success (for delicious food) at the night market! However, hygiene is always a question mark and if your stomach can take it, go ahead and try!
