Verdict: This version had all the necessary ingredients and tasted the way it should. Which one I prefer or which one is my winner you may ask. Since I like strong flavour food, the later have slightly higher mark in my book. But like what I always say, taste is subjective, one person’s meat is another’s poison, some might find the one at Piau Kee Kopitiam too “salty” or “overwhelming”. I know there’re a few more good Prawn Noodles in Klang Valley, should I do the debate again? (^ω^)

Based on my less than satisfactory eating experience at Hung Kee I can safely say I won’t be a returning customer. Even the wantan mee stall a stone throw’s away from my house could whip up better noodles (prepared by locals and not to mention cheaper too) so logically why would I want to eat here ever again?
As I remember that most of the stalls have curry version, so I order another extra bowl to try out their ‘Curry Wan Tan Mee’. I love this very much, as the curry is spicy yet not to the extend is flaming hot(I added the curry chili given) , yet the soup base serve is at near boiling point(which I like my noodle soup base to be hot that can burn your tongue). This definitely is recommended by me~
and THIS is actually the saving grace…. (how sweet the sound!)…
The thin strands of wantan meen are hand-made. Everyone loves the springy texture of the noodles tossed in dark coloured soya sauce. Each servings of wantan meen come in a big bowl of wantans. Other than the obligatory glistening and sticky sweet char siu (bbq pork), you can opt for other side dishes such as siu yoke ( roasted pork), roasted duck, siu kow and braised chicken feet mushroom too. The char siu and siu yoke is not as good as expected though but Hung Kee is still a decent place for a good plate of wantan meen.
