Verdict: I can’t comment much about the authenticity of the Kuey Teow Soup Noodles but as far as the food is concerned, we like what we ordered. An ideal place to head to for some simple comfort food, especially Penangites who miss their hometown food.
Verdict: I think I’m quite “You Sek San” (a Cantonese proverb that describe a person who always surrounded by good food) in the first quarter of year 2023 because I’ve been trying a few rather awesome food which I have no hesitation to recommend to you all, Uncle Chua’s Prawn Noodle is one of them. ^ω^
♥Verdict: The portion of the set we had certainly insufficient for a group of 2-3 persons, even though we are not really a big eater. As you can see, there’s only meat in the set with no other dishes like soup, noodles or rice, which undoubtedly not filling enough.
One of the staffs came over to assist us when she saw we created a mess during the flare-ups but we did most of the grilling ourselves. The quality of the meat and side dishes was alright but nothing particularly worth mentioning. It would be hard to be convinced for a revisit because I have a few better options in this area if I want a Korean BBQ meal.
Anyways, with refreshed eyes and unbiased taste buds – we checked out Restoran De’ Champion Duck here in Bandar Menjalara. And yes – can confirm that the duck here is still superb!
♥Verdict: Overall, our brunch at Skinny Dip was fairly good except for a few misses in between. I’d probably give it a second chance since it is near my house.

The Cheeky Shawarma was good, yummy. It came with 2 pieces of stuffed chicken wrap. The filling consisted of flavorful seasoned chicken slices + shredded cucumber, carrot and red cabbage. Besides that, the dish was also accompanied with a side of fries and apple salad. I however, decided to add on an additional side – buttered spinach.
Leng Zhai Bak Kut Teh is a BKT restaurant run by 2 young chaps and serving good hearty porky broths is their main focus.
Skinny Dip Cafe is tucked away in the streets of Medan Putra Business Centre and has been around for over a year already.
