  My personal preference will be poached chicken or 'white chicken'. I eat this often and wherever and whenever I see them. It is fresh tasting, sweet and the texture is firm.

  Reasons to visit Der Backmeister Ampang: hearty European style breads (you can order the full selection from the larger bakery online and collect them from this Ampang branch or even have them delivered to your door); meals made with wholesome, good quality, simple ingredients – minimum processing and no nasties (ie no artificial flavours, colours and so on); The Big Backmeister is incredibly good value, the pasta dishes are simple and tasty and sweet tooths should not miss the apple strudel.

  Last year, Warung Cikgu’s Nasi Mmanggey opened up a new world of taste for me. I got hooked and it prompted me to look for alternatives that would not require me to travel to Puchong or USJ. Then I stumbled upon Nasi Cikgu Sue in Ampang.

  I saw these mini beef pies (Pie Face) at Ampang Point when I was there recently so I bought six mini chunky beef pies for MYR19 nett and ate one a day for a week. Very tasty! I like to eat it a lot so I wish they would be sold at Midvalley too.

  Keropok Lekor (Deep fried fish paste mixed with sago flour) with a drink of your choice at MYR5.90 nett. The keropok lekor tastes of fish and is chewy so it makes a good snack. This set is only available during morning before noon and during tea time.
