Overall, the food Restoran Makanan Laut Zhen Liew Siang Sentul is really good and the pricing here are very reasonable. Remember to book your table in advance to avoid disappointment. If you plan to walk in, prepare to wait. I will come back here at Restoran Makanan Laut Zhen Liew Siang Sentul again one day.

The food garnishing was quite pretty and the green curry laksa pasta seafood was to die for. It was spicy and thick and the price reasonable. The cafe was established by a reverent and seems to have connections with a lot of dignitaries.

I especially like the ginger paste, it has a strong ginger aroma, taste slightly sweet and spicy and addictive.

Nasi Dagang, 14.90 ringgit. The Nasi Dagang was good, real delicious. It got me hooked right from the start. Check out their presentation – fancy in a local/traditional kindda way .. kan? Every item on the plate was good – the roasted chicken was tender and flavorful, the crackers provided that extra crunch, the pickled vegetable and then there was the gravy, tasty gravy. At first glance, thought it was peanut sauce because the texture resembled it but no one really eats nasi dagang with peanut sauce, so nope, it cannot be. Upon tasting it – it certainly was not peanut sauce, what it was was thick, sweet, flavorful gravy that complimented the rest of the items in this dish very well. I was delicious. Certainly a dish I would order again.

Nyonya Laksa, 10.90 ringgit. Ooooo the Nyonya Laksa – this would probably be right up there in the list of ‘best laksa’ for me. Seriously. The gravy was thick and totally fattening due to the coconut milk but sooo worth it. The dish came with 2 options for the noodles – vermicelli or the usual mee hoon, I opted for the latter. There was slices of chicken, half boiled egg, bean sprouts. The dish was generous, in terms of portion size. I could not finish it but you can bet I ate to my hearts content. I would totally give this a go again.

I have always preferred brightly lit places to hang out, as opposed to impossibly dim cafes. There was plenty of sunlight and I loved that. The dining area was spacious, and the wooden tables are not too small.

The nasi lemak was not bad – mild flavoured so will suit most palates. The spicy fried chicken was not very spicy and was tasty. The buttermilk chicken was a little salty. Chicken pieces were fairly large sized and crunch on the outside while remaining decently juicy on the inside.

This has the feel of a real neighbourhood space, brightly lit & crowd-friendly, with office workers from nearby strolling in for lunch & residents from elsewhere in Sentul stopping by for dinner. Project B is staffed mainly by older students from Dignity For Children - part of an effort to equip them with work experience & skills. An energetic team, enthusiastic to learn & please.
