Their Mixed Rice in Hot Pot is nice, serving size is just nice, not too small or too big. All the vegetables mix well in it. It is a decent bowl of Mixed Rice in Hot Pot.
Here's the location.
I like the environment here, it has that nice cafe feeling but yet, i am able to try many Penang local food here which is kinda awesome .. !
There are quite many franchise restaurants here. But if you are looking for a more affordable meal for lunch or dinner, you may want to try Make Make, the Penang Lang Cafe. Make Make serves the good ol’ Penang food such as the notable Penang curry mee, prawn mee, asam laksa and etc.
Hokkien Mee (Penang Prawn Mee, RM10.90) is my yardstick for all restaurants that serve Penang hawker food. I have to say it’s pretty darn good for a pork free version. The generous amount of toppings you get is reflected in the price. You hardly see any restaurant that willingly gives large prawns (fresh ones too!) on top of the sliced prawns in a bowl of prawn mee nowadays. Like any authentic Hokkien Mee in Penang, the chili paste is a must, as it adds a good depth of flavor to the soup.
Though Bangers & Mash is a simple dish but it's not a common dish in Penang cafes. The Morning After's did management to meet our expectations. They were generous with the Sausages, served over a bed of Mashed and Brown sauce. The Sausages however, were unlikely made fresh but the bouncy texture was lovely, it worked perfectly well with the soft-creamy Mashed Potato while the Brown sauce offered a sleek salinity to the dish
Though the Green Curry Thai Laksa was well-presented but the flavors did not quite impress us. The creamy, herbaceous factor was missing, the sauce was rather diluted and watery. We expected bolder flavors. Tom Yum was equally disappointing, it was not spicy nor sour at all... with subdued flavors. Also, we did not like the texture of the Noodles... something like the local Koay Teow. The meal ender was not any better either
在这里用餐都会看到三大种族,桌面也很大,适合大家庭、大聚会,唯一一点不好的就是太多苍蝇。
Meat crabs cooked in sour and spicy sauce @ RM 80.00 I love to eat bread dipped in this sauce. Eating crabs cooked in this way can be very delicious but also very time consuming and messing. Anyway, we have the time to enjoy our meal.
这里的食物新鲜味美而且价格也很公道。我肯定会再来吃哦。
65 Ondo Bakery Cafe is a nice place to dine in for some nice chat over coffee with family and friend.
The Yam Toast was almost too pretty to miss- sweet, delicious home-made Yam paste spread over their soft-pillowy bread and beautifully coated with fresh cream. It was light on the palate... we could taste the Yam Paste but it was not too bold. The sweetness was also beautifully balanced
Overall, 65 Ondo Bakery Cafe is worth visiting but be prepared to be thronged by a large crowd.
炒麵條 Fried Noodles RM10.00 *This is highly recommended*
Thousand of tourist all over Malaysia visited Penang every month just to enjoy their & dine-in for some delicious seafood by the river or sea.
We highly recommend you guys to give them a call for reservation to avoid disappointment.
环境优美不说,泳池也就在旁边,绝对是拍照打卡的好地方。
All in one Fine Dining Thai style restaurant BAMBU SMALL PLATES is now near you and will be bringing you the most unforgettable authentic flavor Thai food ever with rooftop scenery.
One of the places in Tambun where you can get reasonable and mouth-watering curry and Seafood dishes is at How Kee Curry 豪记咖哩饭. The preparation of the curry as seen on video is made fresh while the curry taste is sourish and savoury. The Laksa Mantis Prawn, Braised Pork in Soy Sauce and Spicy and Sour Clams are also their best-sellers.
Bukit Tambun is the de-facto Seafood place for Penangites- when we want to look for fresh and inexpensive Seafood, Bukit Tambun is the place to go. The recent development of Batu Kawan (the neighborhood next to Bukit Tambun) has brought in large influx of visitors. The demand for fresh Seafood has increased tremendously and many new Seafood restaurants have sprung up in the recent years. Floating Seafood Paradise is one of them. But apart from offering extraordinary seafood dishes, the dining atmosphere is one of a kind too... the restaurant floats. It sits on a man-made fish pond and one would feel the 'rocking dizziness' (like being hit by waves while on boat) while dining in-house but that's part of the package. There's no menu here but the server will recommend whatever they are ready to serve on that day. To find the place, drive along Jalan Bukit Tambun and look for the signage on your right, turn in and you will find it shortly on your left.
Steamed Emperor Red Snapper in Nyonya Style is priced at RM 45, which we thought was pretty reasonable. The Red snapper is fish, and Nyonya style cooking gives the fish a moderate sour and spicy taste, akin to a toned down Thai flavour. There are other steaming style offered, such as clear style and Teochew style. Savouring the fish for our dinner was a true gratification.
The signature here is their Mee Goreng, but we recommend you top up another RM1 to enjoy the sotong. To make their Mee Goreng unique, Chef Hashim uses Chinese wok with a thinner carbon steel to allow more heat infuse to the noodles, resulting a stronger smoky taste. We enjoyed the hint of sweetness in the noodles, contributed by the special sauces prepared by Chef Hashim's wife and mother-in-law that used more sweet potatoes than usual.
One of the places in Tambun that serve nice and fresh curry claypot fish head is at Sheng Ji Curry Seafood. This seafood here are fresh from the sea as it is just beside river mouth. The signature dishes here beside Claypot Curry Fish Head are Spicy and Sour Claypot. Another signature is the cuttlefish stir fried with dry curry powder. The aroma of the curry is so irresistible and rich.
Of all the food that i try here, Curry Karaage Don is my favorite.
Cafe hopping is not really a famous thing to do at Bukit Tambun, the fishing village is seafood paradise known for an insane amount of seafood restaurants but what if I told you that you could have both in one go? O House Station Cafe is both a cafe and a seafood restaurant, it promotes home-styled seafood dishes yet in a cafe setting. The quaint cafe is a stone's throw distance away from the junction near Simpang Ampat and Batu Kawan (entrance to Bukit Tambun) and has an old-school, classic interior decor. Do not expect the usual cafe fare here, it offers home-cooked delights and seasonal seafood offering. While simple rice and noodle dishes are commonly ordered here, their seafood dishes are not to be forsaken. They are subject to availability (supply of seafood). Ask the friendly proprietor on the freshest produce of the day and she will be able to recommend a few; make your reservation in advance if you have anything specifically in mind otherwise.
Overall the dining experience here is nice, environment is good, service is good, the food taste is just average.
Overall, AhMa PanMee maintained its quality and tasty food even on its 5th branch, and even added new menu such as coffee that sure entice more people. Come to AhMa PanMee 阿嫲刀麻切 at Eco Bloom, or the other branches in Georgetown (Lebuh Tye Sin), Bayan Baru Promenade, Juru Icon City or Jelutong to enjoy these delicious traditional recipe Pan Mee.
