A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
With a decent plate of hokkien mee plus fast and impeccable service, this is a pretty good place to stop by for residents in the area. They’re also planning to expand onto food delivery platforms with food and drink bundles, so do look forward to that!
It felt like I ordered the wrong things on the menu and choices like the teriyaki fried rice and crab omelette would have fared better. Nevertheless, Fried Rice Story’s diverse menu is worth giving a second shot so I’ll probably be back again to try out everything else I missed!
At the end of the day, this is a no-frills takeaway spot for a casual dim sum craving. Very affordable prices, and I really like the fact that we have a long-established brand, albeit a casual one, hidden amongst our neighbourhood which is in my opinion, a gem.
Wei Jia Ban Mian Fish Soup is located inside the same coffee shop as Wan Jia Xiao Guan Zi at Blk 443 Clementi Ave 3 behind Clementi Mall. In case you are wondering, no, the two stalls are unrelated.
A quiet little coffeeshop with lots of flies and mosquitoes. A middling old school prawn noodles, with a light sweet soup.
The Hokkien Mee was dry and alkaliney, and seemed to suffer from the lack of a strong seafoody broth. The texture was quite nice, given its lineage (son of the Golden Mile Hainan Hokkien Mee), but I thought the flavour could be improved, importantly since this was the dry variety of Hokkien Mee. No one eating here at all, just after lunch.
The Halal Corner launches two new spicy fusion pasta dishes that will surely entice thrill- and heat-seekers alike!
One thing I have to say is, the portions are pretty big so it’s pretty good value for money.
The Halal Corner has one goal in mind - to bring you quality halal Western fusion dishes in Singapore that everyone can enjoy! ? Formerly known as Asyraf's Halal Corner, their creative dishes combine local and Western favourites to create something eye-catching and unique, and with dishes costing no higher than $7 you can get a cafe-quality meal at hawker centre prices!

Burp Bedok Reservoir we will absolutely be going back. It was superb. Bless them too, as they even sent a little note saying the service might be off
Overall, Burp Kitchen & Bar offers a decent dining experience, suitable enough for everyday dining. The casual yet average ambience is offset by large potions of tasty food at affordable prices.
On a whole, it’s a damn shiok bowl of prawn noodles.
The noodles were cooked nicely. The prawns were fresh, sweet and flavourful – this was how good big prawns should taste like. The soup was so drinkable – flavourful yet refreshing – that I finished the entire bowl.
A bowl of prawn mee soup worthy of your calories! The dried version with chilli and killer pork lard is sure to satisfy that craving for deliciousness.

Recommended by Miss Tam Chiak. There was a bit of queue at this stall in the morning. The char siew was sweet, crispy and charred, sliced thinly, but tough. The wanton was smooth with silky skin and well marinated meat filling. The dumplings had a nice variation in texture with the prawn, black fungus and water chestnuts. The noodles were qq and springy, lightly flavoured and fragrant from the chilli.
Overall, this plate of wanton noodles is a scrumptious delight that we will return for if we’re in the vicinity!
They are a 24/7 Indian food eatery which is great for people looking for supper options! TBH, it was a long walk from Kembangan MRT station, so it is probably nearer if you come from Bedok North MRT Station.
Overall, we definitely glad to have found this place. The fishball noodle is good, no ridiculous queueing time and plenty of parking spots.
Andy’s passion shines through, setting his Western food stall apart. From the meticulously seasoned meats to the homemade coleslaw and dipping sauces, his dedication brings an extra flair to the dining experience.
Horiginal is a venture to create an original Singapore beef noodle.
Nonetheless, for its big flavors and pocket-friendly prices, Horiginal Beef Noodle is definitely worth a visit.
Always enjoy this great value lunch here & a very pleasant time with good freinds.
Tiramisu with kelhua was very good, quite like the tiramisu i make, this with good kelhua…
i have nothing but praises for these excellent student delivery, a very enjoyable lunch – company of old friends, food & ambience…
Overall, I was really impressed by the quality of the food considering the price we paid.
All in all, The Pasta Boutique carries an appealing range of pastas and mains. Longer waiting times are to be expected here as there is only one chef cooking.
The stall's drawback could be its location. It may be convenient for those staying in the neighborhood, but can be rather far to travel for us living in other parts of the island.
Yet, with such filling portions and economical prices, word-of-mouth is all the publicity it needs.
Happiness is a box of freshly baked curry buns! Life doesn’t get any better than that!
