Their classic pasta menu is customizable and they have the very rare Cacio e Pepe which I want to try!
We left the place with no stomach room for desserts. With their impeccable services and chanting environment, it's hard not to be back again.
iO Osteria Restaurant Review - Italian food at HillV2 Hillview MRT, Upper Bukit Timah with pictures of menu and lunch ...
Wine Connection Bistro HillV2 has a bright contemporary look. We like the spaciousness of the restaurant.
Overall, the set lunch at Wine Connection was quite a substantial meal for $15. The pizza might be thin, but the slices do add up. In the end, there was more pizza than I could single-handedly consume.
A relatively good choice if you are looking for somewhere with less crowds during weekend, but we are unlikely to be back as hubby is really turned off by the chargeable spring water...Otherwise quite a good place to chill and relax and enjoy the food!
Food at Joyden Canton Kitchen is a mash-up of traditional but uncommon Chinese Cantonese dishes, and Modern Singaporean cuisine.
Service at Joyden Canton Kitchen is homely but efficient. Staff quickly clear up when diners leave, thoroughly cleaning and sanitising tables to prepare for the next guests.
Quality European and American Food that shifted from the Bukit Timah Old Fire Station to HillV2
Overall we thought that Jiak Modern Tze Char was a nice friendly restaurant to have a simple meal in the Upper Bukit Timah area. It is good that they open continuously throughout the day and diners can pop in during in-between hours. If only the flavoring of the dishes was less strong.
Happy drinks made for happy us, looking forward to seconds here at Starker Bistro, perhaps coupled with some light bites to go along with the delicious beers.
Not only is the interior of Starker beautiful, its exterior is equally welcoming. Thus, we chose to dine Al fresco to take advantage of the cool breeze.
Starker Fresh Beer may be more known for its alcoholic beverages, but they have also joined the fray into the F&B establishments as well.
It was quite empty on a weekday evening and seems like a good place to chill or even a place to do some work. The service was friendly and frankly, I do not mind making a return trip for its quiet environment and over some simple western food like this.
She Sells Seashells – Handcrafted Madelines at HillV2 Hillview Rise
While the food pricing is slightly steep, the quality at least justifies and the coffee is pleasant.
Opened by the team behind Ninepress who also runs Kyu Coffee Bar at Prudential Tower, Kohi-Ya offers Asian cuisine that comes with a Creative twist.
Overall, the experience of Kohi-Ya is actually pretty decent.
If the Circuit Breaker period has taught us anything, it’s not only that work-from-home arrangements have become the norm, but also bake-from-home arrangements as well.
Overall, it was a passable meal, but we walked away feeling unsatisfied and somewhat disappointed.
Overall, it is interesting to have the first look at the healthy and creative creations. If you are looking for something different this festive period, check out the Purple Rice Maki and Kinsa Mosaic Sushi set during this at Kinsa Sushi.
If you feel like having wagyu kamameshi or wagyu don, and staying around Hillview area then head on to Kinsa to try it as it is conveniently located around your neighbourhood.
This is definitely a place worth visiting. If you wish to enjoy their dishes in the comfort of your home, order from Deliveroo!
Overall, we had mixed feelings about lunch at New Ubin Seafood Hillview.
I still like this current New Ubin Seafood, and would place this as one of the places you can get the most unique “Truly Singaporean” zhi char dishes.
The place is pretty cool and industrial, a good meeting place.
The coffee was good as well, but not better than its hip cafe competition, which is getting quite tough these days in Singapore. Service was polite and helpful. It is certainly a nice cafe but in this case, the saying that “the thrill was in the hunt” may possibly apply.
Cool cafe. Smooth latte. Free parking.
I was near Bukit Batok today and decided to swing by that new Vietnamese stall (279 Bukit Batok East Ave 3).
The sweet and flavourful beefy soup was the clear Hanoi-style one, boiled from beef bones and spices like cloves, cardamom, star anise and cinnamon sticks. The pho was silky smooth, and came with fatty tender marbled beef slices, shank, tendon, qq beef ball and honeycomb tripe. Nice and comforting, especially on a rainy day such as this.
Chef Minh has put in a good effort to make these bowls of Vietnamese Pho affordable in the heartlands.
They are located at Chu Lin road which is around the Hillview Ave area. They are an Italian restaurant serving a variety of Italian dishes such as pasta, risotto, pizza, etc.
iO Italian Osteria is not that far away, but I'm happy to eat here again. Being such a cozy neighborhood place, the service was warm and fast.
The quality was decent, the service was fast, and the prices weren't as outrageous as they could've been.
Acqua E Farina Party Helper will save the day and night! Generous servings of the carefully selected menu dishes and desserts, as well as 30% off Italian wines can be put together with fun presentation, delivery and clean-up at an extra charge, depending on the location and needs of guests.
The set lunch at Acqua e Farina Singapore was a laid back, relaxed occasion. It would certainly be one of the Italian dining options to consider if we are in the Hillview / Upper Bukit Timah location.
Dishes at Acqua e Farina has a homely feel. We felt like we are dinning in a home of an Italian and we like it.
The chicken was really smooth, moist and tender. Amazing. The Chinese sausage was sweet and tasty as well, and I could smell and taste the salted fish throughout the fragrant rice with crispy bits. Not a bad claypot rice.
If you are not into their Signature Mee Sua, you can order their BCM with other noodles too.
A delicacy that is rare to find in Singapore, Pohang Seafood is one of the rare few places selling live octopus!
Overall, having experienced a few Korean sashimi meals in Jeju and Singapore, I like Pohang Seafood SG the most.
The Masala Chicken was utterly succulent, sitting in a rich, fiery pool of gravy of ground spices.
Overall, we enjoyed our fiery dinner, and would be likely to return since Rail Mall is near our residence.
This is what the accompanying ingredients for lor mee should be like – pork belly and ngoh hiong. The savoury sauce was very very sticky but not so heavy in terms of flavour, such that you can drink it separately. The alkaline flavour of the noodles was very strong though. Normal bowl of lor mee.
Bukit Batokians recommended Lor Mee in the vicinity.
