All the dishes above cost about RM200 for 8 persons.
Would I go back? Well…. no, not really. At least not on this showing. A forty five minute drive to get there was not really merited given the taste of the food and the need for the self service. It was… okay. Not bad, just not really spectacular all round
But the steal of the night wasn't the curry alone. It was this: Pork in Sauce served with Mantou buns (RM 32). Forgive this picture, the pork was orangish-reddish and the buns were golden brown. The thick sauce was delicious- salty, sourish, and eating with the bun was perfect match; but the pork meat was triumphant. The meat was succulent, and meaty with enough fats for us to eat right until its two long bones remaining. To say the least, my dinner would be more than satisfactory with just the curry and this dish. Highly recommended.
The food here used to be so good and sadly, the quality has dropped tremendously. In fact, all of us were in shock when we tasted the food. The vegetables were nothing to shout about. Though there were four different vegetables, none of them tasted anywhere close to what it used to be. My rating for these shall be 6/10.
This is their plain roti canai, see how well layered it is and how evenly fried too. The skin is crispy and the inner thin layers easy to bite into, unlike those from other eateries that have think layers which are hard to bit into, almost similar to eating a croissant with its multi-layers.
Dato Joshua said that with the opening of the new Marrybrown @Caltex Sungai Choh, food lovers will be able to enjoy Marrybrown's various speciality offering such as Marrybrown Crispy Chicken, Nasi Marrybrown, Mi Kari MB, Chicken Burger and many more
8/10 Stars
The star of the resto is their Smoked Chicken (RM25 – half chicken). The chicken is moist and tender on the inside, and the skin has absorbed the smokey flavour so it has a slightly charred taste. The skin is salty, resembling salted chicken. It’s easy to polish off several bowls of rice with this dish!
他们家的奶茶奶香味十足, 却不会盖过那茶香, 比现在流行的网红奶茶好喝多了, 最重要的是, 一杯网红奶茶的价钱足以让我在这里叫上个 5-6 杯传统奶茶来喝了~
Overall, I found the food at this restaurant to be just so so. Prices are cheap but the food was nothing great. It's just a place to fill your hungry tummy and not a place to treat your taste buds. My overall rating for this place shall be 6/10.
This seems to be the most popular place by Google ratings in vacinity, but it is absolutely vacant on weekend lunch time. Service is slow considering we are the only table. Lamb chop is okay,..
It was good, but I sensed too much MSG, both in the soup and also the dry BKT. Also, I still prefer the one in Tanjong Karang with dried cuttlefish in it. The dried cuttlefish really added a very unique and irreplaceable flavor to the dish!
I tried two clay pot dishes – the mutton masala and the prawn masala. Between the two, I enjoyed the mutton masala more as the meat was tender and flavourful, having absorbed the flavours of the curry. The heat wasn’t obvious at first bite, but hits gradually and had me chugging down my sugarcane juice lol. Portions are hearty and can be shared between two people. You also get a whole boiled egg in each pot.
This place is really popular with many good quality stalls, parking could be tricky. The Hai Nam Coffee here is pretty good. Love the Chicken Rice, Char Siew sold out but Roast Pork equally good...
A lot of delicious looking food here, and they are pretty good. Recommended.
If you are craving for some fresh tasty crabs, time to order it at Restoran Fei Fei Crab Desa Aman Puri Kuala Lumpur. Do check out their menu as they offer many unique flavours that goes along with their crabs.
I love Fei Fei Crab's signature kam heong crab
The most fiery seafood restaurant strikes again! They have introduced some of their new menu dishes and you should not miss it! These crabs are available in more than twenty cooking styles to rock your taste buds!
The Fifty Tales premises boast an old Chinese home feel with contemporary strappings. The three young partners strive to enliven a sleepy old neighbourhood. I applaud them for trying to reinvent old school Chinese cuisine, making it more accessible and appealing for the next generation. May not be for everyone, but in my books, it’s always a good thing to have variety.
As always, the service here is impeccable. Both Chef Aaron Phua and Chef Bimmy (who were on the floor as Chef Aaron Khor manages the kitchen) were super accommodating and helpful. While we enjoyed the food – we still hoped to see a stronger unifying/complimentary element among the dishes on the Cincai Dinner menu. As this was just the first week on the job in their new home, we are sure there is nothing but upside from here.
What do We Like about Fifty Tales Restaurant? -Creative and thoughfully designed and prepared dishes -Grilled mushroom salad steals our hearts
Asian Laksa Pasta RM27.90 As this place portrays themselves as an Asian fusion restaurant, I thought it was only appropriate if I tried out one of their Asian inspired dishes. Well, to be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed the sour and spicy flavours of the dish, blame it on my Asian palate. The pasta was cooked to the perfect al dente, and the sauce was tangy and creamy at the same time. It's like your usual Asian dish, but with an added creaminess to it, which to be honest, really complemented each other really well.
Favourite of the night is this Smoked duck breast @ RM 39.90++ Served with creamy potato mash, cherry tomato, sauté seasonal veg & red wine reduction. If some of you does not like slightly strong duck taste, then you might not really enjoy it. It is cook to perfection, soft and slightly pink on the meat. Eat along with the mash is a perfect combination.
Lucky Peaches Eating Hall & Bar offers three special menu; Festival Weekly Specials or Xmas or New Year's Eve 5 course SET Menu from RM118++ per pax, starting 12th December till New Year's Eve
Filter Coffee (MYR 20) Columbia Java A.N. from Hubs roaster which offers winey notes of rum & raisin and cocoa nibs. And yeah, we both love as usual for any anaerobic natural processed single origins.
Aus Wagyu Beef Burger is worth to go for where this wagyu beef comes with the 70% lean meat 30 % fat. And they are beautifully pan grilled, rinse signature wasabi mayo sauce, American cheese, sweet pickled radish, lettuce, tomatoes and served with the Furikake Fries. The burger is superbly good and each mouthful is so tender and juicy.
♥Verdict: Overall, it was a fairly good dinner session, with two out of three of our food belong to the category of ‘I won’t regret ordering’ and the service was friendly too.
Though it has been some time ago before my revisit, there must be something memorable about this place that got me remembering it till now- and unmistakably is their porky dish, yum. So we settled down quickly for some cuppa and savoury. We skipped the sweets as the day was still tad early, haha.
Classic Beef Burger (MYR 17) Never say no to fluffily fried spiced fries- my all time fave!
This place surely is a hidden gem serving excellent Dim Sum which is located in Sungai Buloh New Village right beside RHB and Hong Leong Bank
♥Verdict: Being our favourite Dim Sum restaurant, we like the food here. Maybe some of you which have been to this place think that their Dim Sum is quite mediocre, but I would say “taste is subjective” , the food here suite our tastebud. I also like that this place not as crowded as other Dim Sum places such as THIS.

Verdict: I came with high expectation for a good Hainanese Chicken but I felt an itsy-bitsy disappointment after trying it. The whole combination (chicken + rice) was alright but I wouldn’t say it is fantastic, my number one chicken rice no doubt, still THIS.
The chicken is the best. Soft and moist with just the right amount of chewyness. Loveeeee it! The taugeh was well seasoned and the fish balls were tasty. Overall, it definitely is one of the best steamed chicken rice I’ve tasted in a looong time.
Another highlight at this restaurant would be their Fish Balls which is stuffed with Squid. One that is rare to find and it does tasted uniquely good. For those who consume pork, you could also go for their Pork Balls. As for the Fish Balls stuffed with squid, my rating for this shall be 9/10. Finally coming to their Steamed Chicken. The meat is so tender and juicy and it's almost like melts in your mouth. Perfection is what you would get here and it's really so good. I would rate their Steamed Chicken at 10/10.
♥Verdict: Although the food was not on a stellar level but Foo Hou Dim Sim still a good place to head to for some pipping hot Dim Sum. The spacious interior and the attentive service warrant repeat visits too.

The Steamed Har Gao Dumpling comes with the pulpy huge fresh prawns in it which is just superbly good. They are really fresh and delicious.
