The Small Keong (小强) Wantan Mee and the Thai Style Pork Trotter Rice are the musts to try out. The Siew Pao (Roast Bun) here is also one of the unforgettable delicacies that are packed with nice butter crush skin while the barbecue pork is yummy.
This time is a Breakfast Visit, among the food available are some good Curry Mee, Loh / Hokkian Mee & Wantan Noodles, other stalls include Koey Chap, Char Koey Teow, Koey Teow Thng, Loh Bak, Tim Sum .....
HB Noodle House's signature White Curry Mee was quite good... creamy and savory; even better with a splash of its home-made Chili paste. It had every box ticked.
I like the restaurant design and decoration
Cook Ideal Restaurant at Chai Leng Park dish up Poached Chicken with Chicken Rice or Ipoh Style Hor Fun, very similar to May Fong @ Butterworth. See Here
Cook Idea Sa Ho Fen is a big name at Chai Leng Park.... and has a huge facade too. It is known to serve some of the best, classic and unfussy Ipohan-influenced Hor Fun dishes. Seats were almost filled up as early as 9 am; the Hor Fun specialist also offers deboned Chicken, blanched Bean Sprouts to complete the set of the Ipoh Nga-Choy-Kai/ Kai-See Hor Fun (Ipoh-Bean Sprout Chicken with Hor Fun). There's no need to stumble over a menu- grab all the quintessential dishes and you are good to go. Food selection aside, the place is well-maintained with clean floors and bright space.... definitely a comfortable place to have a casual meal with family or friends.
Last visit...was almost one year ago.
This is one of my favor noodle/pan mee restaurant in Butterworth.
Lovely chocolate ice cream desserts.............superb good.
Seaview Food Court, is usually jam packed, (in the evenings) when I usually visit. On this visit, we had some of the harder to find food in the area, Namely Deep Fried Pork Intestine porridge, Lamb Soup Indian style, Roast Pork Noodles.
Overall taste wise, is just as good with others places, however you do find more exotic choices, of course with an corresponding increase in Price, the 2 of us had 10 basket with tea, which cost us just below RM50/-, for the service and ambiance provided, which is 30% higher then other places.
I personally think that the price is a little bit expensive
taste a long time favor curry fish and chicken claypot.
This rainy morning we tried out their Nasi Lemak and Noodles in Yam Soup. Not Bad
This round we also taste for Chocolate Strawberry Ice Cream. This is also good.
Must come again next month before heading to long X'mas holidays.
Verdict: Yes, the curry mee here definitely does not loose out to the more famous stall at Butterworth, further we can enjoy the curry mee with the roast pork, and also the Seremban Siew Pau which is imported frozen and baked right at the Kopi Tiam it self.
This is a famous noodle house in Butterworth.
All is worth while, but there are so much more food here at Wai Sek Kai to be "hunted" next time!
I like the environment here and the food is good too.
So what is KL Hokkien Mee? The noodles are bigger, fatter, and its cook in lard (Pork fat) oll and comes loaded with crispy pork crutons (Deep Fried Pork Lardons) and sambal belachan, and lots of dark soya sauce. Verdict: Just like its done in KL, Tasty enough
Food here is slightly more expensive.
Other than my all time favorite Thai Cuisine Fried Rice, Sunny Restaurant do serve many other different types of food. At Sunny Restaurant, you will never run out of good food to eat.
Having quick dinner here...a restaurant which I have never visited for the last 15 years.
The price is reasonable...
One of the Best lamb soup, I ever had, is in this Food Court at Chai Leng Park. One can have this with Roti Banggali or with Rice, or even a Nasi Lemak sold by the same stall.
Among the Good stuffs here to my taste buds are the Satay, the Koey Chap, the Oyster omelette. Duck Meat Koey Teow Thng (first from left) Picture above, the Otak Otak, (Penang Steam Spicy Fish & Egg Custard wrapped in Banana Leaf (center pic above)).
The octopus 'tu bo sui' here is bouncy and juicy in texture served with just a simple soy sauce and deep-fried garlic. On top of that there, dinners can get their fresh seafood from the wet market nearby while letting the stall owner cook instead. The steamed prawns with soy sauce and the golden pomfret with soy paste are also great delicacies as the ingredients are made fresh. This is a great place for those that love fresh or catch of the day.
CLP GARDEN - open air restaurant. The business hour began around 6PM.
Here's the location.
Verdict: Well, nice interesting concept of the Economy Rice, actually reminds me of Sungai Wang Plaza (KL) Economy Rice lay out, except it has much better ambiance, air-condition, well laid out and so on. There are many those who will like it, and they will be perfectly right to do so. Personally speaking though I may drop by very occasionally.
I like the environment here, the entire place looks bright and clean, it is comfortable to dine in here and there are plenty of place to sit.
