The Kam Heong Lala was also fresh and juicy and the frying was done just right.
We trailed along residential and kampong roads passing by places like Titiwangsa, Air Panas, Taman Genting, Danau Kota, Kg. Sg. Mulia and Taman Selaseh before arriving at Restoran Long Kee Teow Chew Seafood at Seri Gombak. These were dishes recommended by Richard & Jerry.
This is one of the best and economical place for lunch serving many Malaysian favourites.
Overall, a great eat - tasty with fresh ingredients and not overcooked
One of the items we usually order is the Deep Fried Talapia Fish (RM 24) where they are being deep fried with loads of oil. The talapia fish remains moist and juicy, while leaving you with the flaky texture.
Here I eat to live, and non appetit to all!
Last weekend we stumbled upon this stall in Batu Caves called Umiekok that sells freshly baked kuih akok.

Shopping for fruit for Chinese New Year. The prices are indeed cheaper with a good variety.
Khao Pad Thai RM9.90 Fried rice with shrimp paste, chicken, and shredded egg. I can't believe that this Fried Rice tasted so nice! I am a fan of fried rice, so when I was enjoying this dish. I can give almost full star of this fried rice, the fragrance of the fried rice was fried evenly. Not too oily or spicy, eat it with the chicken was so perfect!
这里的环境舒适,而且食物价格不贵,在Setapak想吃泰国街边小吃的话,可以来这里试一试!
Indian Shell Out @ RM 100.00 It is really rare to see this kind of Indian Shell Out and that too one that is being served on Banana Leaves. For me, it was a wonderful meal. The mix of fish, clams, mussels, shrimps, squid, crabs, chicken, veggies and corn that came in a mildly spicy sambal like preparation was just heavenly. It was so good and I wouldn't mind returning again for another round of excellent food. Do note that this is only available during the weekends and a set for four pax is priced at RM 100.00 . Excellent food and lovely ambiance.
The Crabby Chick Stack – now, this I like lots lots. For 22 ringgit, this was an awesome burger. I do not come across many eatery that serves soft shell crab at 22 ringgit. That is considered rather low/cheap. Let me break down the items for you. You’d get soft shell crab on the top + burger buns + lettuce + crispy and tender chicken patty + tomatoes and onions, with a side of fries, for just 22 ringgit. The burger itself was yummy. Do expect a combination of textures and flavors. Some crunch, some chewyness. Nice.
Reasons to visit: pretty green location; refreshing mocktails if you have a sweettooth; my favourite dish is the Parmesan Crusted Panko Chicken; excellent coffee – the house espresso blend is very good and you must give the nitro coffee a try.
Jibby东菜单涵盖和谐的泛亚洲和西方美食。
Overall, we really enjoyed both dishes here at Restoran Pan Heong.
Diners get options of Soong Kee’s Beef Balls Noodles (RM8.90) served dry or soup as well as option of their original Hakka noodles or thin meehoon. We tried the four combinations and found ourselves enjoying the dry version with thin meehoon as our top favorite followed by the Hakka dry version.
Our recent visit to Soong Kee in Setapak is an enlightening experience – we discovered new things to enjoy in addition to getting reacquainted with the tried and tested
♥Verdict: Definitely a well worth checking out place for beef noodles lovers! Beef noodles (both Hakka noodles and Meehoon), Five Spice Tendon, Wonton Noodles and Steamed Chicken are a few dishes that I personally highly recommend. Service was warm and prices are fair. Now Soong Kee is reopened after being away for 47 days since 18 March for delivery/take away (self pick up). Refer HERE on how to place order.
Overall, the bowl of pan mee tastes reasonably good. The ambience is quite comfortable and appeals to the younger crowd.
♥ Verdict: I definitely like the wallet friendly price range and the food we had were fairly satisfying. However, revisit seem like quite impossible, at least for the moment due to their rising popularity and full house scene and perpetual queue are the common phenomenon here during weekends.
For the nice ambiance and easy to get to when you want Japanese, I won't fuss too much.
Yes. One is more stylish, cost more and with air-con while is the other has none of the three.
Considering the larger-than-usual serving size, Restoran Michi is truly affordable for most people.
The food at Good Luck Kopitiam is somewhat acceptable, but there is certainly much room for improvement.
Fried Bitter Gourd was good. Loved the marination they were crisp and tasty. Went perfectly well with the Fish Curry. Their Cabbage Peratttal was good as well. I would rate both at 8/10.
