When we arrived at the place, almost half of the tables were occupied and we managed to get a big table near the entrance with a huge fan (it's a hot day). Thankful for that. This place is famous for its prawns. The price is also pretty reasonable.
I won't say that this is the place that is mostly visited by the locals to get their Siew Pow fix. In fact, there are many small bakeries in Seremban that is famous for this. However, these are the guys that have put Seremban on the national food map in the early 1990's and I thought that due respect had to be given to these guys. Today, this is more of a tourist stop but still, their Siew Pow's are pretty good. Not to say the best in Seremban as I had previously mentioned, nevertheless still good and value for money. Worth a stop if you have never taste Seremban Siew Pow's before.
Anyway, bought Chicken Siew Bao and Pork Siew Bao from there and ate it on the spot since it’s still freshly baked and hot. They both tasted very yummy. It’s not so awesome when it’s cold so I recommend that if you can, eat it right away, either way, heat it when you got back home.
This is my second visit to this restaurant This time not as many people as last time But still we need to wait about 20 minutes Until the curry laksa is served to us
I would love to come back, and this time shall ask for wing or drumstick, and make sure that I get the sambal chili which I heard is not to be missed 😅
This morning, we were in search of a good place to have breakfast in Seremban and after doing some read up on social media, it seems that this restaurant called Restoran Asia Laksa is a favourite place for the locals to have their Curry Mee fix. The reviews were so good and it is seems that this place does the best Curry Mee in Seremban. With such kind of reviews, how could we miss this place. Immediately we drove towards Taman Senawang Jaya where this restaurant is located.
Finally, their main dish, one of the recommended dish that I personally look forward to; Pork Knuckle! The crispy fried pork knuckle served together with Thai style sauce here is one of the best pork knuckle I have tried in various Chinese restaurant as the pork smell here is completely gone. Each bite of this dish, the crispy skin together with its tender and juicy flesh is an orgasm to our mouth. Although this is a sinful dish especially to those whom have eaten a lot during the Chinese New Year, but there is always a saying “Eat first, cut later”* LOL.
Kam Heong Fish Head was absolutely mind blowing. If you love Fish Head, you have got to try this preparation. Something unique that I have not come across elsewhere. It was so juicy and the spiciness that came from the sambal as well as the bird eye chilies were just amazing. The Fish Head had been fried to a crisp as well and it was so addictive and heavenly. If you are a fan of Fish Head, this dish is a must try. 10/10 would be my rating for this dish.
Marmite Grilled Crab The marmite sauce is not too thick and just nice.
The food is okay. The lucky king bun restaurant and the actual curry bun is no longer the same owner, so you have pay extra service charge to bring in the curry bun. I enjoy the curry bun.
Curry Chicken Bun @ RM 34.00. Their Curry Chicken Bun was freshly baked and it was served in under 20 minutes. This is priced at RM 34.00 and it good to feed three adults. The curry is baked along with the bun and it comes with lots of chicken and potatoes in thick curry. If you would ask me, I would say that their curry was pretty good. A mix between the Chinese and Indian was of preparing curry and the aroma was just heavenly. The bun itself was so soft and delicious and together, they made an awesome meal. My rating for this Curry Chicken Bun would be 9/10.
Restoran Bubur Manis Zhuan Kee, Seremban(泉记面粉糕)Address:3437, Jalan Rasah Utama 1, Taman Rasah Jaya,70300 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, MalaysiaHours: 3:30–10pmT...
Restoran Bubur Manis Zhuan Kee, is how it’s termed, and different tong shui is available at the counter for you to choose from. You could also pair it with some local ‘kueh’, a.k.a. traditional pastries, similarly how you enjoy the Western Hi Tea; Desserts and Tea or Coffee.
糖水的价钱从RM1.20到RM1.50, 可选择加椰浆或不。
Linguine With Beef Meatballs Pomodoro and Cheesy Corn with Fries. It is indeed a complete hearty sharing platter suited for 2 persons. Grilled to a nice char while still retaining the moist and tender texture of the meat.
Beef Wellington is a popular dish, a perfect Yuletide meal for some gastronomic treats with family or friends. Some like it on its own or with the truffle mushroom sauce for added flavours The dish has a soft and chewy texture with a bit of crunch from the puff pastry encasing the meat. You may also need to inform the chef for your choice of the perfect level of doneness - be it in rare, medium or well-done to your liking and to get the best flavours from the meat!
Jigger & Shaker Seremban
Haji Shariff makes the arguably the best cendol in Malaysia. This famous shop showcases culture and heritage of the past and the future. There is nothing be...
They have a variety of Cendol to choose from and what you see above is their Cendol Biasa which is very reasonably priced at RM 1.50 . Very decent portions and it is a taste to remember. Truly one of the best Cendol's that I have tasted. If you're in Seremban, visiting Haji Shariff Cendol is a must.
A bowl of refreshing cendol is exactly what you need to cool down on a hot day. Everytime we visit Seremban, we will go to Haji Shariff Cendol located at Jalan Yam Tuan. If I'm not mistaken, they have a branch now at S2 too, near to this Yee Kee Beef Noodles place.
Many said is nicer than Seremban Siew Pau.
Kebab pun nampak menarik. Nasi pun sama. Nak tenang2, boleh bersila. Tapi aku dah penat bersila makan kat bawah. Dok atas jela... Air pulak. MF order Habbatus Sauda. Dia kata boleh tahan. Surau pun ada disediakan. Sesuai untuk majlis gathering dan family bonding.
And kambing dia seriouly lembuttt sangat! And sedap of course :') Ayam dia pun sedap jugak, ada bau smokey maybe sebab dia ada wapkan dengan kayu arang kut. Whatever lah, tapi yang penting memang sedap. Uwaaa..nana dah terbayang-bayang dah ni. Husband balik rumah esok memang nak kena ajak dia gi cari Nasi Arab Damsyik nih hee!
ayam... kambing... fillet ikan semuanya sedap. kena dgn masakannya. air habbatus sauda yg manis-manis tambah lagi kepuasan hati kita makan di sini. memang sesuai lah kalau sesekali nak belanja parents, adik-beradik or ofismet kat sini. suasana nya sgt best.
Last week, we had to go down to Seremban to run some errands... decided to drop by Quinn to have their beef noodles. Seremban beef noodles is by far my favorite version - we visited Quinn as it is air-conditioned and more convenient for parking. There are two other outlets, one in Seremban wet market and another in town called King's (at Jalan Dr Krishnan).
Oh mannn. How have I never had something like that before! I love thick noodles. These thick noodles (lai fun), is one of my favourite! Commonly seen in Asam Laksa, these noodles are just the perfect for dry noodles. Those beef sauce with some thick black gravy is heavenly.
I found the beefballs to be the best. Springy and meaty they were pretty good- I would appreciate if they're bigger size and has those juices coming out as I bite into them as seen in Stephen Chow's really old movie 'God of Crockery'. In total, we paid about RM40+ for 3 bowls of dry and 1 bowl of soup, 1 bowl of beefballs and a few drinks.
Earlier this week, we made a trip back to our hometown, Seremban... eating our way around some of our favorite foods. For dinner, we headed over to Restoran Seremban Chicken Porridge. We grew up eating the porridge from these folks, followed them when they moved from place to place and finally they now have their own shop at Templer. Business is still as good as ever, so it is advisable to come early to avoid disappointment. In the past, they would sell out on the chicken as early as 7pm, even though they start selling at 6pm. Not sure about now, but we didn't want to take the risk and arrived early at 6pm. If you're dining here, take a seat and one of the servers will take your order.
Crazy queue, opens at 6pm, and all mostly sold out within 2 hours time, closed on Tues I believe hot pick because all fresh n cut only upon order, see the meats 'hanging out' Tastes pork porridge as ordinary, but the cold cut chicken is a must, never had such a smooth soft
The best way to enjoy a meal here – arrive early (before 7pm), grab a seat outside (it gets stuffy when it is crowded) order both chicken and pork porridge and slurp the smooth congee together with thick pieces of succulent chicken!
Seremban Street Crab and Lala Restaurant offer good service, no MSG and fresh live crabs. For the pricing, it is definitely cheaper than Kuala Lumpur and as usual, please ask the price of the seafood before you order to avoid any arguments. Will we come back for more? Yes if we are in Seremban and crave for good XXL crabs.
I like the interior design with brick wall behinds and the best part was the cafe is not packed with people. So you can sipping your coffee calmly and enjoying every single moments with the current people you have.
I like the ambience in this cafe and the feeling is so cosy. The staffs all looked tired tho and some of the guests looked at us (or just me, I have ombre black-red hair) like we're some weirdos but that's fine. The food here, after looking around, the portion looks good. Their bingsu also looked amazing but we didn't go there for that. The latte was small and the spaghetti was filling. Overall, it's a good experience for an impromptu cafe-visit.
Bros.Cafe, is a Korean dessert café that serves up the quintessential desserts like bingsu and cakes, apart from its coffee.
Being a famous place for Wan Tan Noodles in Seremban, the dish truly stood up to it's reputation. The Egg Noodles were soft and silky and the blend of sauces were good. Their Char Siew was pretty good as well. As a total dish, my rating for this shall be 8/10
First up was their famous side dish - Chicken Feet in Herbal Soup. The Chicken Feet were normal but the uniqueness of the dish lays in its herbal soup which tasted really awesome and flavourful. Definitely a must try!
I was delighted when recently, I discovered a stall in Seremban serving the most delicious wantan mee! The egg noodles were springy, coated with a sticky sweet sauce and were totally awesome. Even when we tapao (take away) the noodles home to eat, the noodles retain its texture. The wantans are served in a separate bowl with soup. The noodles are best eaten with the sour green chillies.
I felt the frogs weren’t as flavourful as that I had here. But the sliced fish were not bad. The lala was not bad too.
The porridge is very nice....Mix with the TIN KAI cook with kam heong.
For those who are keen in trying the CKT with loads of cockles’ added (RM8.00), the recommended time to reach here is before noon or while stock last. If you are neither a fans of CKT or bloody cockles, Pin Xiang Lou does serve other good food as well!
Recently, a Char Koay Teow stall in Seremban went viral because of the ridiculous amount of cockles (siham) they serve. It was topped with so much cockles
Foodie alert! Introducing the latest hype in Seremban, cockles fried kuey teow ! Mind you, it’s not your usual fried kuey teow .
A large portion comes with three normal fishball, three fried fishball and one fish paste stuffed in tofu puff. The fishballs were nice and bouncy. We had the dry loh shi fun (rat's tail noodles); it was topped with some minced pork and scallions. Toss it together with the pork and dark sauce and slurpppppp.... it was good. Thankfully, I enjoyed my bowl of noodles, so it was worth the wait.
Some of the fish paste related variety have been sold out by the time I was there. The severy counter is right at the front of the shop and the business was good.
Their Potato & Brinjals Stir Fried however was good. Not too greasy and the masala was just right. I would rate the latter at 8/10.
Curry Leaf Restaurant is one of the famous banana leaf rice places in Seremban, and a place I would frequent with my colleagues on Mondays. If you are ordering their banana leaf rice (Rm 6.50), you will get 7 vegetarian side dishes which are very well spiced and flavoured such as slow cooked pumpkin, cabbage, bitter gourd, spinach, super spicy brinjal, spicy tofu (yes, I named them both with super!) and long beans. I love most of them and will usually ask the staff to put more spicy brinjal and tofu on my plate/leaf. And then I will go for their dhal and chicken curry. Sometimes, we will order masala fried chicken to share among us. Not to forget the papadum, the crispy addictive side dish that is great to go with the rice. The best part of the papadum is… free flow!!!
The Unc loves the banana leaf rice here, a traditional Indian vegetarian dish (RM6.00). White rice is served on a banana leaf with an assortment of vegetarian curry dishes (usually 8 types). You can have as much rice as you like, they will continue adding it onto the banana leaf until you tell them to stop. Then, the rice will be topped with some curry, his favorite choice is the onion curry. Some mini poppadoms are served together with the dish - very crunchy.
Lamb stew (yong lam po) - served in a claypot, the lamb ribs were braised until falling-off-the-bone tender along with beancurd (fu chuk) in a lovely herbal-ish type of sauce.
