[Pork-free] The last time we past-wa past-wa’ed here was before MCO. While famous for their fuwa fuwa soufflé pancakes, we love the pastas here as well! The Smoked Duck Aglio E Olio (RM22) was excellent – perfectly tossed spaghetti with full-on garlicky flavours and smoky, tender duck bits.
It’s SO FUWA’FY, we could die! We ventured to Neighbour’s Coffee Bar in Happy Garden for their famous fuwa fuwa soufflé pancakes and pastas.
芝士的奶味与榴莲的香气搭配相宜,口感非常好,抿一口会齿颊留香哦~
This is a pretty unique Chinese neighborhood restaurant, with a slightly upscale price, yet they do come up with some pretty unique dishes. The Dongpo Pork (RM 65) is pretty good, but I feel it..
Better to make reservation or sit outside (come early). I think the food is pretty special and nice.
Finally, the most interesting dish served that night was a stir fried kailan with preserved olives and mustard leaves. Salty, earthy, oily are the flavors and textures that come to mind when eating this dish but the flavor profile is closest to kailan stir fried with mui choi and black beans. It's a pretty addictive flavor as it's rather salty but it's just the right level with rice.
Curry Fish Head @ RM 28. For Dai Chow, always good to have one curry gravy dishes. Not too coconut milk flavour, yet it does goes well with white rice. Fish head is also fresh.
这里有着很舒适的用餐環境。我们还会再来品尝它们的白切鸡和其它招牌菜。
A fairly new restaurant in Happy Garden.
Tori Age Don, 17 ringgit. The Tori Age Don was very nice. You’d get a generous portion of crispy, flavored tender chicken pieces, about 7 – 8 pieces of them + egg + Mayonnaise + greens and cucumber. Once you mix them all up together, oooo yumm! The rice was all gooey due to the egg and mayo, add in the crispy, tender flavors chicken? The texture and combination was good, very good.
這家咖啡店雖然在不怎麼起眼的小巷裏,但這裏的環境和食物,絕對會讓我再回來打卡很多次
At RM 7.50 for a bowl of soup noodles with egg, this is one of the best in town for me! Toppings were overflowing with minced pork, pork slices, crispy pork lard (Chee Yar Char), poached egg and lot of vegetables of the day. Really 'Ho-ho Sek'!
它的料也是好丰富啊有好多只虾猪肉丸,蟹柳,海鲜豆腐等
Pork wine noodles at MYR 8.50 nett. The wine is served separately in a small bowl. The porky parts such as liver and kidney have acceptable taste but the broth is just clear soup, not pork bone broth. It even has choy poh (pickled vegetable) in it so I wouldn't call this pork noodles but clear soup noodles with porky parts (ching tong).
Verdict: The Geng Chow Bing which is the pull factor of our visit was good and I highly recommend the Kaya Butter Croissant. Do come here earlier if you wanna try the Nasi Lemak as it was sold out during our visit.
Verdict : The ambiance and the food taste deserved many thumbs up. It is also a very clean restaurant, and spacious. A well suited place for gatherings, to those who enjoys Thai food.
An authentic Thai cuisine restaurant with its interior decked out in retro furnishings. A wide selection of Thai dishes for you to enjoy with your friends or family.
要吃好吃的烧腊真的要早一点来建议十二点前来不然一下子就卖完了生意特别好
Heard about this place alot when I was still with my ex company and since working around this area, decided to come back to give it a try. Kum Kee Charcoal Roast Pork is actually famous for their roast pork in this neighborhood that operates in this Kedai Kopi & Makanan Mooi Mooi at Taman Continental or off Kuchai Lama. Now they have expended another lot with the red signage, with better seating capacity and cleaner.
The seafood is fresh and that is the reason why it is expensive. The curry is pretty good, infused with lots of coconut milk as it is very creamy and if you really big fan of curry noodles and big eater, please visit Volcano Curry Mee at Happy Garden KL.
Stir fried ccf at MYR 7 nett. Good wok hei, so tasty! The ccf is soft so I like it even more. Very crispy bean curd sheets.
Wantan mee... one of my favorite things to eat! And last week, we went to "Wai Sek Kai" at Happy Garden (Taman Gembira near OUG) in search of great wantan mee. Loong Sifu 龍师傅 Bamboo Noodle House is well-known for its bamboo noodles. The place was packed with customers, so there was about a 35-40 minute wait for our noodles.
Signature Grilled Chicken (RM18.90) 👍👍👍 The grilled chicken is served with mint-based sauce and salad. It gets a lot of salad with broccoli, with the long thin strips of carrots so very healthy!
You see, Lucy Stall been around for more than 4 decades. A typical family business running from the home of Madam Lucy Kok Siew Ling where she starts and operates her Pan Mee noodles stall from her strategic corner single story house in Happy Garden. It's also a stone-throw away from the morning market. Hence named after her name, it's called Lucy Stall!
I have drive pass this place numerous time and constantly ask why is there such a place in the housing area, only then found out that Lucy Fried Pan Mee actually is one of a hidden gem in this neighborhood (Happy Garden or the verge of Kuchai Lama) where they serve great Fried Pan Mee – quite a unique dish. If you are sick of modern food, then back to basic where this staple food will impress you. Used to cook by the mom where found out that she is ill at the moment and took over by her son.
The Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken though, this was good. The 2 pieces of chicken was crunchy, crispy and meaty – which plenty of meat enough to last till the end. The nasi lemak sambal was yummy. A tad sweet, plenty of spice and flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this dish.
The wonderful smell of freshly baked egg tarts enticed us into Siewbao Wong once we finished our meal at Loong Sifu Bamboo Noodle House. Siewbao Wong also sells Seremban siew pow (recipe from the famous Kee Mei siew pow), kaya puffs, salted egg pastry, and more.
Two plates of wanton noodles.
This stir fry prawn egg noodles look like instant noodles and is super salty and oily too. We have to pour soup on it to dilute the salty taste.
Pork Noodle (Small portion) - MYR 7 nett. 5 dumplings at MYR 7.50 nett. Hot Cham (Coffee mixed with Tea) at MYR 1.80 nett. The food tastes good.
