For lunch today at Sprezzatura; with multiple visits here, so far it is difficult to go wrong with Sprezzatura's Coffee!
If you have to kick for "really strong" coffee, then this cafe is the right one
Founded in June 2013, Sprezza Coffee is both a specialty coffee shop and coffee roaster.
"Restoran Happy Chef Corner" is likely most popular for the Chinese office workers in Phileo and for lunch, it offers not only Mixed rice, but roasted chicken rice, some Bento choices as well as Chinese Goreng Goreng as well.
The "干棒炒飯 Kampong Fried Rice" was not bad but maybe slightly salty, on the side the spicy sambal went well with it.
Besides mixed rice and goreng-goreng (xiao chao), Restoran Happy Chef Corner now also offers Bento which are ready packed for take-away
Jaads Sandwich in PJ's Phileo Damansara is one of the long standing Cafe here, and with more than 10+ years history offering Western and Local cooking.
Was generally satisfied with the last 3 visits; whether it wast he Jaads Big Omelette, Scrambled Egg Salmon Sandwich with charcoal bread set wit Salad, and Al Pesto Fish Spaghetti; all not bad choices for lunch.
I imagined the Omelette a little different from what was served, not disappointed nor surprised but a filling one.
西拉-维欧尼红酒 (澳大利亚迪金酒庄) Shiraz Viognier produced by Australia's Deakin Estate, with a 14%ABV; generally considered to a quite high alcohol content for any Wine.
I should be coming here for Pork Pizza with a Happy Hour Beer next time!
It's a place for Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Ribs, as well as Booze (with Pork) and it also offers home delivery (minimum order rm$30) within a specified delivery zone (see their web)!
Surprisingly very very good Roti Canai with very good sambal, just the dhal wasn't as thick as I like it to be.
The late lunch was "印度媽媽炒麵 Mamak Mee Goreng"; wet, spicy, "wok hei", slightly charred, excellent even with an egg at rm$5!
Definitely, a nice unexpected surprising find.
A bad lunch choice, and perhaps its best to stick of Western choices at DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe where my first 2 visits left with a positive experience!
The restaurant seems packed at lunch time, it only opens 4 hours from 11am to 3pm. The restaurant is also the HQ for supplying food items like beef patty etc to its other locations like KL Pavilion, and Genting.
A little bit overwhelmed with the decorations, not just the walls, but even the tables, props, even cutleries and all items in the menu are Super Heroes themes!
No park lard, no "lap cheong", and baby size clams; quite disappointed for today's lunch choice!
Verdict, nice! The menu at Village Cafe offers 20 choices of local choices from noodles to nasi lemak!
he restaurant serves everything "Penang Style" from Asam Laksa, Penang Curry, Penang Char Koay Teow, Penang Lobak, Penang Chee Cheong Fun; Nasi Lemak, and variety of Chicken Rice! A proper meal is above $10.
蘇東椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak sotong & 奶茶 Teh Tarik
opens early, Halal, Indoor seating no , air-conditioning, Early breakfast and Lunch
Taste wise was good but just like a cold spicy salad!
The Cafe offers breakfast (less than rm$10) until 11pm; there are 10 variants of set lunches from rm$13.90 - rm$15.90 and all comes with the house brew tea.
I chose the Aglio Olio with duck meat as the main course, average in taste and a bit oily!
Manager recommended the "Roti Canai Goreng" which surpirisngly not bad at all and I enjoyed it despite its perhaps left over Rotia Canai from the morning session which is used for this recipe!
If you look into the menu again, you can see some interesing recipe in the omelete and rice section (with deer meat as well as mutton meat fried rice as well!)
the restaurant is also packed with customer during working day lunch times. Not everything is "curry" based and therefore a good selection is available for varied taste.
The concoction was interesting and satisfying, and responsibility priced at rm$5.50; I believe the next visit to be sampling their Bakso (which is meat ball with the chicken broth)!
Although, not the healthiest, the deep fried Ikan Keli comes with some Ulam and 2 source which is Sambal and Curry. Went well with the hot steamy rice!
Looking forward to taste some of the other Indonesian dishes here in the future!
the soup was very egg (much like cantonese fried) but quite sweet tomatey taste; then its the char koay teow and brean sprout. Interesting indeed but taste wise, did not find any excitement about it
I like the soup, the chicken was cooked until really really tender, comes with the usual Tofu Pok, with "Chic Kut Teh" brooth (a little herbally). An interesting find!
Overall a decent nasi berlauk variant!
Based on the vegetrian dish choices today, I would think that the meat dishes should be as good if not better, and that's another reason for a second visit.
The "cartoon" size nasi lemak packet comes with super spicy sambal as well as a slice of egg with the coconut rice!
For lunch, its affordable economy rice and at night local beer is available until 10pm!
Highly recommend the "马来干榜炒饭 Kampong Fried Rice" which is the Cafe's signature dish.
Definitely not for me. The plate also came with 2 prawns (unplucked), so the shells all over the plate!
Maybe will come for their Happy Hour beer & munches (beer bites) one evening when opportunity arises. Here, the food and drinks are served by our imported Bangladeshi foreign workers.
Had an excellent quiet and tasty Japanese lunch here at Kaori.
I am very sure that the Yakitori BBQs are worth a try, soon will visit again!
The fried chicken rice in an Indian Muslim shop was a surprising satisfying lunch today!
Very very affordable Nasi Lemak at rm$1 per packet, and it taste quite good!
