Shopping for fruit for Chinese New Year. The prices are indeed cheaper with a good variety.
Indian Shell Out @ RM 100.00 It is really rare to see this kind of Indian Shell Out and that too one that is being served on Banana Leaves. For me, it was a wonderful meal. The mix of fish, clams, mussels, shrimps, squid, crabs, chicken, veggies and corn that came in a mildly spicy sambal like preparation was just heavenly. It was so good and I wouldn't mind returning again for another round of excellent food. Do note that this is only available during the weekends and a set for four pax is priced at RM 100.00 . Excellent food and lovely ambiance.
The Crabby Chick Stack – now, this I like lots lots. For 22 ringgit, this was an awesome burger. I do not come across many eatery that serves soft shell crab at 22 ringgit. That is considered rather low/cheap. Let me break down the items for you. You’d get soft shell crab on the top + burger buns + lettuce + crispy and tender chicken patty + tomatoes and onions, with a side of fries, for just 22 ringgit. The burger itself was yummy. Do expect a combination of textures and flavors. Some crunch, some chewyness. Nice.
Overall, we really enjoyed both dishes here at Restoran Pan Heong.
For the nice ambiance and easy to get to when you want Japanese, I won't fuss too much.
It is an established fish head curry restaurant that manages to be consistent with its quality over the many, many years of its existence.
The Kam Heong Lala was also fresh and juicy and the frying was done just right.
We trailed along residential and kampong roads passing by places like Titiwangsa, Air Panas, Taman Genting, Danau Kota, Kg. Sg. Mulia and Taman Selaseh before arriving at Restoran Long Kee Teow Chew Seafood at Seri Gombak. These were dishes recommended by Richard & Jerry.
It’s an Chinese Foods Court. This is a typical Malaysia Chinese corner with many food stalls operating in it. Various food on offer : mixed rice, prawn mee, clay pot chicken rice & etc…
One of the must try here is their Yong Tau Fu. The Yong Tau Fu in Selayang Jaya brings you with affordable price and wide variety. Priced at RM 1.20 per piece, their yong tau fu comes with the generous ingredients. You can choose the choices from the chilly, taufu, lady fingers and many more. They also have the fried items that also comes addictive and to our favourites as well.
This is one of the best and economical place for lunch serving many Malaysian favourites.
Overall, a great eat - tasty with fresh ingredients and not overcooked
Fried Bitter Gourd was good. Loved the marination they were crisp and tasty. Went perfectly well with the Fish Curry. Their Cabbage Peratttal was good as well. I would rate both at 8/10.
Famed for their chicken rice, Lim Chicken Rice brings you with their tender and moist bbq chicken,. The chicken is freshly made daily and the taste is pretty good.
总体来说这里的菜肴有自己的特色,据说都是老板娘自创的住家式菜肴,所以和外面的餐厅自然有所不同。
This restaurant brings you with loads of delicious menu that you would love includes the Mee Yoke Lim{ Loh Mee & Prawn Mee}
One of the items we usually order is the Deep Fried Talapia Fish (RM 24) where they are being deep fried with loads of oil. The talapia fish remains moist and juicy, while leaving you with the flaky texture.
Now if you want to enjoy durian without having to spend a fortune, durian cendol will be your answer. And no, you don’t need to travel to Shah Alam, as it’s also available at Mel’s Corner in Batu Caves.
We highly recommend Jiang Nan Prawns (and please ask for the size and price), Kerabu Mango Fish, Claypot Chicken Vinegar and Claypot Lamb if you plan to visit Venicia Restaurant Jalan Ipoh. It is best to make reservation and you can call them at 03-6259 8788.
Here's the location.
Pan Mee (RM 6) Their pan mee comes simply delicious where the pan mee is filled with loads of ingredients such as minced meat, fungus , sliced mushrooms and fish balls. The noodles are really good which is chewy and slurpy.
If you are looking for traditional and high quality pineapple tarts either for own consumption or as festival gifts, check out Mum’s Tart.
Overall, the food wasn’t bad, but only the banana leaf stood out. It was also a little expensive for what we got (RM36), but you’re paying a premium for the location. If you’re hungry after visiting the caves, then go for it.
