Sangumburi (산굼부리) is a crater with a circumference of over 2 km, and has been designated as a Natural Monument. It is located on the southeast side of Jeju-si, and is a flat crater, about 650 meters wide, 100 meters deep, and 2,070 meters in circumference. If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium.

This is quite a big place filled with beautiful tall silver grass (pampass), walking towards a crater. Scenic, beautiful and a lovely walk.

eighteenpromises : Korea Travelogue // Sangumburi Crater

This has got to be one of the prettiest spots I've ever been to. The pictures truly do not do this place justice at all. Just imagine strolling through fields and fields of… wheat? I've no idea what plant it was actually but it's just super beautiful and I literally stood at awe of how amazing the whole place is.

A Seoulful Life: A Jeju-ful Weekend (2) - Sangumburi Crater

So much greenery! Having rained a bit, the fragrance of the trees and earth and flowers and plants were lingering delicously in the air. Alex and I kept on saying we wished we could bottle it and take it home with us. The "nature fragrance" room fresheners smell so chemical and fake.
