Reasons to visit: Nomi Tomo is the only speciality sake bar in Kuala Lumpur and you are sure to find some variation that you will absolutely love; if you’ve never had sparkling sake you are seriously missing out; the quintessentially Japanese atmosphere makes you forget that you are in the heart of KL
When comes to Friday night, it is really indeed no idea where to hit on for drinking area, till I was recommended to this cool new place by my friend. Nomi Tomo Sake Bar is located in the heart of Bukit Damansara, KL. A bit of like speakseasy bar as where it is located on the 3rd floor of a shop lot. Below is one of the famous cafe – Huckleberry.
Just in case you may get confused after rounds and rounds of Sake tasting, the wall of Nomi Tomo is filled with the chart of flavours and pricing for each sake. It definitely eases the process of choosing your favourite sake here!
None of the ramen really appealed to us except for the Gekihara Ramen @ RM18. It’s supposed to be an ultra-spicy ramen but the spiciness is actually just right. If the noodle gets any spicier I don’t think it would taste very nice.
1 review of Ramen Izakaya Kazushi "This place has one of the best chicken curry katusu don i've ever had in KL!!! I always ask for extra curry sauce as I like my rice soaked in curry. A great place for lunch (try their value-for-money lunch sets)…
SLURP. Delicious. A generous portion noodles, soup, seaweed, ginger, tamago, and a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
LaLaPop has a very tempting and innovative menu, but next time I will stick to the non-alcoholic flavours. I love sucking down all sorts of spirits as much as the next drunkard, but even I couldn’t fully get into the taste of the alcoholic ice cream. I tried a sample of the Iced Sicilian and the BBB, and I was not keen to eat an entire scoop. The Notti flavours just seem gimmicky and don’t taste as good as regular ice cream.
A place where you grill your own seafood with a mini grill provided. Diners can enjoy meals alongside glasses of sake or beer. A great Izakaya experience where you can eat the food at their best, be it sashimi, grilled or stewed.
如果想找个比较特别的地方喝喝酒、吃吃海鲜,不妨到Solaris这家新开的居酒屋,真的很有日本feel捏!
Given that each of us experiences wine in different manner, I can only suggest experiencing de Montal Armagnac for yourself. With the newer vintages starting at only RM 390 per bottle, it’s a great investment. The 1967 is of course a tad more expensive priced at RM 1050 – but I assure you, for the connoisseur, well worth that little extra. Available in the new year through Nam Lee Cheong (Bukit Bintang) who are exclusively bringing Armagnac de Montal into Malaysia. Looking forward to getting my very own bottle very soon!
Grilled Pork Chop, RM20.90 I have to say this is my favourite main course, I keep coming back it. I love this tender and juicy pork chop with barbecue sauce.
La'Vin also serves beer, tea, juices and soft drinks. Savor an affordable set lunch from 12pm - 3pm (Monday to Friday) at only RM15 nett! Each lunch set comes with Main + Iced Lemon Tea + Fruit.
Currently, at the Sea Park outlet, they have weekday promotion on beverages “Buy One Get one Free” from noon to late evening. Perfect time to chill and relax with family and friends, over coffee/tea. You can get waffle and ice cream as tea-break 🙂
One of the best pork part is this Tomahawk Spare ribs @ RM 29 90 that I have come across. Marinated and cook to perfection that each bite is soft and juicy, still with a little pink that shows the sign of perfect cooking.
