Time Tunnel Museum is a must place to visit when you’re in Cameron Highland. Introducing kids to items we grew up with definitely bring back lots of beautifu...
Personally aku rasa muzium ni sangat menarik. Walaupun dibangunkan secara persendirian dan keadaan tak berapa gah sebagai sebuah muzium tapi koleksi koleksi yang ada memang payah dah nak jumpa. Kalau nak tengok memang kena datang sini. Memang mengimbau kenangan zaman kecik kecik dulu.
I really do not have any idea what is the place all about. Heard about the time tunnel, I can imagine that a place where the kept old stuffs where you can have your nostalgia. I was right.
Despite it not being aimed at my demographic, I really enjoyed TeddyVille. It’s whimsical, fun and charming, and I couldn’t help but get swept along by the absurdity. If you aren’t staying in Batu Ferringhi, then it’d be a bit out of the way – but look into the eyes of the bears and tell them they’re not worth it!
Overall, it is a nice museum to visit and you can find out more about Penang together with the cute little bears.
Melaka Maritime Museum consists of 3 parts: the replica of Flor de la Mar, The Royal Malaysian Navy Museum and Muzium Samudera Phase 2. Read review and details here.
One of the top places to go in Melaka, the Melaka Maritime Museum - Flor De La Mar, where you will learn more about the glorious days of Melaka.
The replica of the ship is about 34m high, 36m in length and 8m wide. It was quite interesting for the kids to walk around the ship, as well as climb up the upper deck to have a look around, especially since Daniel has been learning about Explorers in school last year. They offer audio guides in different languages to visitors (additional cost). A fine way to learn some history along the way!
Melaka Submarine Museum gives you the rare chance to go inside a real submarine on dry land. See review, ticket price and location here.
Ever been onto a submarine? We decidied to bring our kids onto one. Click here for our experience visiting the Melaka Submarine Museum.
I came across the Melaka Submarine Museum completely by accident, due to a dodgy sat nav direction – I love submarines so this was very good luck. It’s not signposted until you’re…
To make it more interactive, there are fun quizzes that you can take. Try your hand at trading stocks, or managing the economy using interest rates. (Failed at both and caused the economies to crash. Welp.) There is also a section where you can spin blocks and compare how inflation has caused prices of goods to increase over the years.
The Peranakan or Baba Nyonya culture is a fascinating culture that is unique to Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Shopping at Ah Ma House reminds me of my careful childhood years, with all the goodies that I used to buy and enjoy after school. Time really flies. It felt as if it was just yesterday I indulged in those snacks and now I’m already a mother myself.
Besides the traditional snacks, there are handmade souvenirs for sale as well such as those boxes of beetles saying I love you.

Next visit mungkin saya akan masuk ke Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium pula..
At the Jurassic Research Center, we can now realise our childhood dreams and learn more about the massive figures of different species of dinosaurs spread throughout the centre such as the Brachiosaurus, the Triceratops or even the sabre-toothed tiger.
The price for the entrance tickets is RM 30 (adult) and RM 25 (child). There are also some combos whereby you can get the entrance tickets at a lower price.
Perched on a platform overlooking the bay, the impressive 12-meter tall sculpture looked like it was ready to take off and soar above the skies of Langkawi! Initially, i was hesitant to visit as i felt it was an over-hyped man-made tourist attraction and time could be spent elsewhere. Thankfully, we did as the sculpture is the iconic symbol for Langkawi and best of all, admission was free!
Langkawi island – the mythical island north of Penang, offers plenty to do. On our recent family vacation, we managed to visit historical sites, new tourist spots, fed the Eagles, had delicious seafood dinners; we even made educational visits to places like Laman Padi (rice garden), Buffalo Park, & LASSie animal shelter.
We then headed back up the elevator, and back down the mountain, where we got to exit via the very large gift shop. In future, I don’t think I would be hugely up for the cable car ride again, but I might check out some of the other attractions and update this.

Kellie’s Castle isn’t overly impressive and is good for an hour, maybe an hour and a half, of exploring. The lack of anything inside means you’re just wandering through empty room after empty room with occasionally some plaques to read. I didn’t have a bad time at Kellie’s Castle, but it might not be worth the time it takes to get here. Especially if you’re just coming for this one attraction (or worse, taking a bus), you might spend more time travelling here than actually in the castle. Except to those completionists out there who want to see everything there is to see in the Ipoh area, this attraction is not a must.
Straits & Oriental Museum (SO Museum) is the first museum that showcases ancient shipwrecked ceramics from China and South East Asia. SO Museum is located at the iconic St. Jo's building that is at the front entrance of Gurney Paragon. Documenting the splendor of porcelains and their unique historical value from the ancient world. SO Museum is displaying over 250 pieces of these valuable items; over time, the Museum keeps increasing the amount of these pieces.
That said, I must note that perhaps the original Telibong version is much better, and maybe I will get to find out in future. However, on the basis of KL’s I will struggle to persuade my wife to come along!
有机会, 不妨到古晋猫博物馆走一趟认识猫咪的旅程吧!
