Chicken @ RM 45, add on with bentong ginger and lotus crips. As for this dish, I have no idea what to say as for us being local, we had too much street food and I felt that I am just eating “atas” Hainanese Chicken. not much twist of it. Too normal for my liking even knowing the meat is sous vide.

This Pommery Lamb & Hummus sat there comfotably, its rack like fingers called out to me seductively. This time it's a blend of New Zealand lamb with the Middle Eastern hummus. This was our best dish of the evening, the lamb was nicely done with a good crusty layer leading to a soft juicy inside. We took small tasteful bites of it while enjoying the view.

Pisco Bar Restaurant

29 Jalan Mesui Bukit Bintang 50200 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

By visiting Pisco Bar you will be able to taste today what the rest of the world will be eating tomorrow. Today, Peruvian cuisine has two main icons in the world. The first one is certainly Cebiche. The second, which you may already know, is undoubtedly Pisco Sour. But what is new about Pisco Bar, though, is the approach to Peruvian cuisine, as it recognizes its influences and proposes a significant variety of some of the most succulent Spanish tapas. Peruvian cuisine has been praised by the Spanish superstar Ferran Adrià and is quickly finding its rightful place in the world food scene. Peruvian cuisine, as with Malaysian food, is a unique blend of indigenous and colonial cookery traditions. With influences from Andean to Spanish, Japanese and Chinese to African and Italian.

Best Haus’ Pork Ribs, 36.80 ringgit. The pork ribs was da bomb! Not much effort was needed to separate the meat from the bones because it literally falls of it with ease. It was sweet, succulent, tender, chewy all in one. It tasted awesome, real good that the plate was empty within minutes. I only wish that they gave me a bigger pieces because it was not nearly enough, lol. Moreeeee, I need moreeeeee! The salad on the side was refreshing. Plenty of green, tomatoes and a fruit – I cant remember what it is referred as but I do not come across many eateries that serves their greens with this particular fruit – it however works, it provided that ‘kick’, a lil sweet and a lil bitterness to it.

My favorite dish here at Joloko was the Caribbean goat curry (RM35), which is available from Fridays to Sundays only. Insanely good, this Haitian-based dish is made using tomatoes, garlic, potato, chillies and onions and cooked until the meat is tender and the curry is thick. The sauce is so flavorful, with heat from the chillies which got our tastebuds tingling with joy.

A clean rustic atmosphere greets you as you step up the ocean inspired staircase to a view of a brass gong and are ushered to your table resplendent with copper crockery and bright floral centerpieces. Bamboo blinds run from the ceiling over the balcony to lend an aura of intimacy. Here you will dine on Celebrity Chef Sapna Anand’s carefully curated menu, featuring dishes like the mesmerising Cochin Seafood Stew, the seductive Grilled Cauliflower in Smoked Sauce, the delightful Butter Prawns, the tantalising Kashmiri Lamb Chops and of course the mouth-watering Chowpatty Fire Roasted Grilled Corn. She makes your palate dance with her vibrant use of many spices and herbs. To complement this bold menu, Goa’s mixologists present cocktails ablaze with spices that will transport you to hot and humid Goa. Local Goan fare like the rasam, raita, lassi have been baptised with exotic names such as Spiked Mango Lassi, Kinky Kokum and Rasam Shooter. Though the service wasn't poor, it wasn't very attentive. Though the food wasn't half bad, it didn't deliver in every aspect. Though prices were reasonable, they weren't matched by portion sizes. Even with a starter and a main each, you'd still come out not fully satiated as portions just weren't hearty enough (in the end, we had to go elsewhere to get something to snack on). With food taste that didn't impress enough, coupled with smallish portions for the price paid and where service could be better, it came down to just little things that weren't done right that makes me wonder if I'd ever return to This Establishment! :'(

Padrino @ RM 56 is very interesting. A Gin and Tonic, fill with Nikka Coffey Gin served with coffee beans and East Imperial Tonic. Something like wine, as where you are about to drink, the fresh beans brings in the aroma of coffee and the taste of gin and coffee is very well balance.

Given that each of us experiences wine in different manner, I can only suggest experiencing de Montal Armagnac for yourself. With the newer vintages starting at only RM 390 per bottle, it’s a great investment. The 1967 is of course a tad more expensive priced at RM 1050 – but I assure you, for the connoisseur, well worth that little extra. Available in the new year through Nam Lee Cheong (Bukit Bintang) who are exclusively bringing Armagnac de Montal into Malaysia. Looking forward to getting my very own bottle very soon!

This is the place my friends; the place to chill with your buddies, to chat, to sip on excellent whisky sours (look for bartender Henly), to try intriguing cocktails and to chow down on unique “bar snacks” in the form of savoury mantaos in a bar.

Among the few dishes we tried, the Roasted Lamb Rack @ RM55.90 was our favorite. It features three pieces of extra large lamb cutlets that were expertly cooked, the meat is so tender!
