The Federal KL 旗下的 Kontiki 餐厅从7月15日开始恢复营业,在严格的执行着新常态的情况下,给大家提供着各种不一样的“吃到饱” buffet。
This reminded me of a chowder bread bowl except that the bread bowl was an eggplant bowl and the chowder was cuts of more eggplants, capsicums, potatoes and mushrooms. The miso sauce was the soul of this dish to me because it definitely elevated this whole plate of eggplant-goodness. And also, this tasted sweet.
Spicy Salmon Sashimi (RM 28.80) One of my favourites of the night is the thick-cut salmon with the special spicy lime shoyu sauce with water melon The taste comes incredibly good and I love the zesty with the umami twist!
Holy Crepe RM24. Freshly made crepe, folded with dragon fruits, cream, ice cream. Looks huge but is quite a light treat, not too sweet. We managed to polish clean the whole plate easily even after all the savouries, so we guess you too won’t have problem finishing this!

TR Fire Grill is located in Pavilion, one of the iconic shopping malls in Malaysia, on the Level 6. TR Fire Grill is a seasonally inspired, chef driven American bistro with a passion for crafting fresh, artisanal dishes and culinary experiences and originated from Florida, USA. A subsidiary of Tony Roma's, TR Fire Grill serves a unique chef inspired artisan dishes with usual combination of food and artisan dishes that will ignite everyone's taste buds. Therefore I am happy to be invited to this food tasting session at this new (2 months old) TR Fire Grill restaurant.
Overall, the food seems promising and what I did manage to try fared pretty ok. I'd probably return at some point although I'm not too thrilled with the common occurrence of cheese in many of their dishes (for non-cheese fans like me). I guess I'll just have to narrow my choices to the balance 50% of the menu. If you're one of those who like to dine in a spacious yet splendid environment, TR Fire Grill probably has one of the largest dining spaces I've seen in Pavilion. Overly positive or over ambitious? Only time will tell.
