Embark on an extraordinary adventure with us as we explore the enchanting wonders of Cherating, Malaysia, through the eyes of a delighted guest at ClubMed Cherating.
Club Med Cherating has been around for a long time and many parts of the resort needs renovation. An earlier plan to close the resort from February 2020 for extensive renovation has been put on hold. I would say go the mindset to relax, reconnect with friends or family, relish the friendship that you will make with the GOs and enjoy nature. The rooms are comfortable for a good night sleep but if you are looking for luxury, this is currently not the place to be.
All you need to know about this all-inclusive family friendly resort.

Here are a few restaurants in Tanjung Rhu that you can try for breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner. All of them are within walking distance from Tanjung Rhu Beach so you can leave the stress of driving behind.
Driving around Langkawi is a very enjoyable experience. Though the roads are small, they are quite smooth and the traffic is seldom too heavy. Most of the places of interest are well connected with tar-sealed roads, and being a small island you are never too far from any where.
When the construction of this guard house started sometime this month, I was wondering of its purpose there. It was setup by Tanjung Rhu Resort at the exit junction of the resort. But, why was it built at the exit junction?

这个沙滩上真的是越来越多贝壳了, 看着它越来越脏, 还真的有点心疼~
在这里走累之后, 我们就去吃海鲜晚餐, 然后回民宿休息, 准备明天的行程啦~
One of the attraction here at Pantai Redang Beach (热浪沙滩) Sekinchan is this big old wishing tree entangled with red ribbons knotted with coins. Visitors can write their wishes on a red ribbon and tie with a coin and throw it up to the three.
Our trip costs RM70 per person and deposit of RM40 per person is needed in advance to book our seat. The fee paid inclusive of the return boat trip to Sasaran beach and Swan Island, insurance, a packet of Nasi Lemak and a bottle of mineral water.
Fare: Malaysian – RM80 (adult), RM60 (children below 12); Non Malaysian – RM100 (adult), RM80 (children below 12).
If you do not know yet, Sky Mirror is Malaysia’s very own version of Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia’s salt flat. At Sasaran though, the difference is that there is no evidence of salt lumps, just a vast expanse of sand and sea, almost like a beach, hence the place is known as Sasaran Beach.
It is a public beach so everyone can enjoy this beautiful scenery for free. This beach is also a good location for water sports activities such as swimming, kayaking, jet-skiing and surfing.
White sand, blue sky and blue ocean. I am very amazed that a commercialized beach can maintain its beauty unlike in Port Dickson.
Beach in Penang has always been awesome, Bayview Beach Resort being next to the beach, it is really nice that i can just walk over to the beach.
The sheets was clean and the bed is super comfortable to sleep, however I find the pillow is little harder for me as I used to sleep on a soft pillow. The room was super clean and spacious.
I got the Dash Deluxe Garden room which was pretty spacious at 42m2 and came with a super king bed and 400 thread count cotton linens… So yes, the bed is undeniably cosy and guaranteed me a good sleep… And the resort mascot, the turquoise bunny plushie sits welcomingly in the middle of the bed….
Stayed in a Deluxe Room, with a comfy queen-sized bed, dressing table, TV and a Dash bunny to snuggle with. No bathtubs, but there is a nice shower, a wardrobe with bathrobes + slippers, as well as coffee and tea making facilities
Since we have a long holiday in KK this time, we decided to go glamping since none of us went before in our entire life. Hence, we booked ourselves into the most reasonably priced glamping retreat in Kota Belud.
Verdict You have to come lar, at least try it once. It is really a super duper cool experience. My recommendations are to stay a night here and another night probably camp at Tegudon for stargazing experience. Alternatively, is to camp at Tembara to enjoy another beautiful sunset. Ish… banyak pulak option, macam nil ah… make sure you stay at least 5 days in Kota Kinabalu (outskirt included). Supaya tidak menyesal kemudian hari.
The beach and the ‘Drinking Horse’ rock had a deep connection with the hearts of the people. The unique rock formation has led the beach to gain its popularity, hence developmental work has been ongoing around the area to turn it into a touristy spot. The fate of Tusan Beach is unknown for now… While the rock is gone, the beach is still a good place to chill around. Also, there have been reports of ‘blue tears’ sightings around the water near the beach.
Ew. I would not recommend going to Black Sand Beach. This place doesn’t have anything going for it that tourists would like. The big draw, the black sand, is so uneven that it just makes the beach look worse. Walking here and seeing the volume of disgusting trash on the shore just north of where everyone was swimming was eye-opening. There was no place on Tanjung Rhu Beach that was that bad.
Miami Beach is a very casual beach. There are no loungers, showers, and no area along the shore that is “restricted for patrons of X hotel only.” Unlike some other beaches on the island, the water is not “policed” either. You will always be able to swim freely, without some lifeguard telling you you’re too far out, or not letting you in the water at all because the conditions are too dangerous. If you just want to beach it up and not be harassed by anyone about where you’re allowed to sunbathe or swim, come here.
I have finally found my favourite beach, so far, here in Langkawi. It’s called Pantai Kok and I can’t believe I didn’t know about it….only been here 4 months duh!…
Kat Pantai Kok ni ada gerai jual bihun sup / koy tiew sup / mee rebus dan banyak lagi . Jadi apa lagi pekena bihun sup ..Najibah makan Koy tiew sup .. Najihah ...
It’s very rewarding to have a beach with toilets waiting at the end of a sweaty hike. Turtle Beach has very pleasant sand and a quiet atmosphere that is better suited to sunbathers rather than swimmers. The serious drawback of this place is the water – you should always expect the red flag up if you visit. It’s hard to come here and resist taking a dip no matter how dangerous it supposedly is. If you must, do it as soon as you arrive before the guards come and talk to you. Make sure to get your fill and, oh yeah, be prepared for any jellyfish stings if you insist on swimming.
We went for a picnic again recently. This time we decided to check out Pantai Tanjung Piai in Pulau Indah.
