Chill and Relax Cafe Bistro or most people call them Chillax for short is one of the popular places that people recommend to me for dinner and drinks! When I checked out the place – it was full house but luckily for me – I made reservations with them before arriving so I got a nice table.
I ordered this brinjal with minced meat (RM16.00)…to share and it was indeed very good. I am not really into this vegetable and I had had others elsewhere and while my girl who is so into it always enjoyed the dish, it never really turned me on…except this time around. The sauce was very nice and was quite spicy too.
My girl wanted the pasta al nero di seppia, the one with squid ink (RM24.00)…for what she called “the smell of the sea”. Yes, we all agreed that it was very nice, despite the colour and no, there was no unpleasant “chou chor” or fishy smell. I sure would not mind having that again the next time we drop by here. As a matter of fact, among the customers who came in after us, there was a big group and they too asked for the same. It sure is rather popular, it seems.
We also had the Vongole Bianco (RM22.00)…but my girl said that whatever taste it had was drowned out by the stronger flavours of the squid ink pasta. I would beg to differ as I could detect its mild taste and I quite liked it. I sure would not mind ordering that again the next time we drop by here.
Their seafood aglio olio (RM22.00)…was perfectly done. My girl seemed to enjoy those little clams so I picked them all out and placed them on her plate. The prawns were big and most importantly, they were really fresh, very succulent and I sure enjoyed eating them.
I picked the Argentise lamb (Argentine chimchurri) served with homemade Argentine sauce (1RM32.00)…or at least, that was what it said on the menu and I thought it sounded promising. Unfortunately, I did not think it was anything spectacular, a little on the tough side and quite a hassle to wrestle with it to get it off the bone
I haven't been to this place for a long time~ I tried it again last night, and the taste is better than before, especially his spaghetti aglio olio, with a little spicy, a lot of seafood~
Personally feel really super recommended, I like to eat lamp chop, but not every lamp chop can satisfy my taste, especially for me with tooth problem. The ordering lady also asks me very politely. If you want the lamb chop to be a little cooked, I'm not quite familiar with it and say no blood, no hard meat. She said that can consider 80% cooked! It's a good temptation to eat on the table. If you take a sip, you'll feel good and satisfied. It was really a blessing to enjoy eating for a long time, so I shared it.
What’s your favourite? Lamb Chop? Lamb Shank? Grilled Chicken Chop? Stay tuned for more.
