If you’re someone who goes to cafes for the “vibes”, it’s highly likely that Knots Cafe And Living will be right up your alley.
Beautiful pretty cafe. Nice woody latte.
Albeit on the pricier side, Knots Café and Living is a great date spot for those looking to dine at an idyllic café.
CMCR JC is a great addition to the Joo Chiat enclave and hopefully, it will create more buzz in the neighbourhood. I am happy to drop by for coffee or pancakes any time.
Common Man Coffee Roasters is not new to Singapore, having operated out of it’s flagship store at Martin Rd since 2013. Eight years later, you’ll find them brewing at Stanley St— and as of June 2021, their third branch has just sprouted up at Joo Chiat Rd.

Relocated to a nearby kopitiam within Ubi Industrial Park, Tai Seng Fish Soup has the longest queue in this small coffee shop.

Coexist Coffee at Paya Lebar’s Lifelong Learning Institute is one of the more popular cafes in Singapore thanks to its very instagrammable space and delicious brunch food.
The new Coexist Coffee Co. Cafe at Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) in Paya Lebar has very pleasing aesthetics and is their biggest outlet.
If you are looking for variety, popping in for a meal would be a good chance. There are other similar Japanese-style cafes nearby ( Hello Arigato and Cafe Natsu), so you are spoilt for choice.
ToMO cafe in Joo Chiat has creative beverage concoctions and brunch fare that is on point - good for those lazy catch-ups with friends.
Frankly, there are not many cafes in Singapore with such a nice alfresco dining space. The service standard is a shame at Jimmy Monkey PLQ, unfortunately.
a space that works well for catch-ups without having to jostle with the crowd that serves up decent fare and good coffee to pair with.
Jimmy Monkey Cafe in PLQ is a nice place for good coffee as well as for brunch and dinner. It opens early, offers al fresco dining and has a nice laid back atmosphere. The new Jimmy Monkey PLQ has certainly enhanced the hip quotient of Paya Lebar.
Recommended by Hedy Khoo of The Straits Times’ Food Picks. This was a bowl of springy noodles in a lardy and tasty sauce with a tinge of sourness, with savoury minced pork, shallots, spring onion, and tender and sweet char siew.
It was definitely a refreshing dining experience at Tracy’s Sarawak Kitchen as we feast on uncommon and absolutely tasty dishes from Kuching. They will no doubt see me make return trips for more of their dishes, particularly the Hakka Braised Pork and Tomato Crispy Noodle!
Nice atmospheric cafe. The coffee had some bit of acidity and fruitiness cutting through even the milk, and a sweet aftertaste. Interesting.
Delicate tasting Imo-Mochi (Potato Mochi, Soy Glaze) and Yuzu and Lime Meringue Pie, in a nicely furnished cafe space.
Nestled amongst the HDBs in MacPherson, Wishes Cafe offers creamy gelatos and highly Instagrammable sweet treats we know we definitely will come back for!
Quite an interesting find in the heartlands, but perhaps I WISH for more creative dessert selection and flavours.
Nice space, but the latte was a bit too milky, although the acidic flavour of the coffee did come out after the coffee had cooled down a bit.
64 Joo Chiat Place is a place where we can enjoy refreshing Lim Bo fresh fruits rojak, and indulge in Ice Ke Lim’s delightful gelato.
The beverage was smooth and creamy, leaning towards the lighter, milkier side.
Cafe hopping can be rather boring at times as you’re either snapping the cute aesthetics or IG-worthy food.
Paris Baguette Bakery Café in PLQ is a retail store for good quality baked goods as well as a pleasant casual diner for cafe food and coffee.
Space Coffee in Geylang provides an inviting space where patrons can relax, indulge in simple dishes and savour a good cup of crafted coffee.
LUNA Joo Chiat is a dessert café with a cozy and inviting atmosphere, comfortable seating and ample space for patrons to spread out and enjoy their desserts. Savoury food is limited but pretty sweet treats are aplenty.
鲜甜. The fresh meaty flavour was quite apparent in the bowl, although I thought some garlic and chilli would add more kick. The noodles were of a good texture, a bit more soft than qq. The meatballs were quite fresh and tasty, while the dumplings were more wanton skin than meat. The soup had a bit more alkaline noodle flavour than meat flavour halfway through. Overall I think more kick required.
We decided to drop by when happened to be in the vicinity. Mr Tan Poh Chye, 65, was there, he used to run Tian Nan Xing Minced Pork Noodle, ...
Fishballs were said to be made by the stall owners fresh daily and they wake up early in the morning daily to fry the fish cakes. With the quality and taste, even though I'm not a fan of fishball Noodles, I would say that I'm still pretty hooked on traditional dishes like this. Needless to say, I do not mind making a return trip here.
So, if you’re looking for a delicious Indian Muslim Karipap with both classic and unique flavours, head down to Isha Curry Puff. A tip would be to call to reserve some in advance as the curry puffs sell out fast.
Yummy Handmade Pau.
Good and cheap Din Tai Feng style fried rice in the Sims Drive neighbourhood within walking distance from Aljunied MRT. I wouldn’t mind having it again, less the long waiting time.
