The Puâer SoufflĂŠ Pancake (RM18) here is a delight - light, fluffy and comparable to the ones we had in Neighbourâs Coffee Bar.
The Puâer SoufflĂŠ Pancake (RM18) here is a delight â light, fluffy and comparable to the ones we had in Neighbourâs. The subtle puâer taste of the ice-cream complements the vanilla syrup, while the crunchy granola bits add texture to the airy soufflĂŠ.
We had Baked Eggs with Chorizo (RM26), and this was clearly a crowd favourite as every other table seemed to order this too. The eggs had a nice consistency, spread over a bed of minced beef/chorizo with a marinara base, it reminded me of lasagna without the filling pasta sheets. It was an excellent choice for us girls who didnât want something too heavy as we used the toasts to scoop up the beefy goodness.
Overall, I was satisfied with the food in Flakes. There could be room for improvement since croissants are their highlights. Flakes can be crowded at times, I would recommend you to make a reservation before you go because I had to wait for 25mins to get a table on Monday. Do check out Flakes if you are looking for a satisfying brunch with good scrambled eggs!
Overall that I find the croissant series is so so only over the hype that had been created. Not flaky, fragrant and seems like bake twice. It could be not my choice of croissant and of course to many of you out there. this place is out for me.
Having said that Flakes forte are in freshly bake croissants, with great thought process, they came out with variety of flavors to cater the market demand. Ranging from original butter croissant to Niko Neko Matcha croissant. Price of each croissant varies depending on its flavor, so do check them out at their counter. My favorite croissant goes to the Niko Neko Matcha croissant, I'm a big fan of matcha and they managed to craft it well to my personal preference.
âĽVerdict: Food we had didnât wow me and in my opinion, the price was on higher side for the portion and food quality. What do you think?

Nice sandwich, toast and panini.
Too obsessed with the tree feature. ENOUGH!
An authentic carbonara was attempted but they ended up with a slightly scrambled egg pasta. Pasta was al dente and had a nice texture. Rendang was fragrant and sweet on its own so with the pasta, it was an okay pairing - not too weird. The moment the pasta plate was placed on the table, I had to snicker at the chunks of visibly overcooked egg. This place is halal so an 100% authentic carbonara would've been impossible but in all honesty, I was expecting a cream based 'American carbonara'.
Our favorites were the nasi lemak and lasagna. The breakfast set, waffles with tomyam eggs and Four Seasons Omelette were pretty run-of-the-mill. We find the waffles too doughy and not crispy enough to achieve the moreish factor. The nasi lemak was very well executed and has a tick on all the boxes.

In conclusion, our experience at Kyomo Kohi was great. From the delicious fusion dishes to the inviting atmosphere, every aspect of our visit left us satisfied. Whether youâre a coffee lover or a food enthusiast, Kyomo Kohi offers a unique dining experience that celebrates a blend of flavors from different cultures.
The laksa was delicious. The gravy was thick, rich and milky. It wasnât too spicy, so if you want/need more, the chili sambal on the side helps. Besides that, the dish also came with chicken, egg, cucumber, tauhu. The noodles I requested for was mee hoon and there was plenty of it. Overall, tasty dish. I liked the gravy. Despite all the other ingredients being long gone into my tummy, I couldnât leave until Iâd slurped up most of the curry. Yummm.
