Kimchi Cheese Croissant @ RM 26 Taste is pretty spot on, yet unique that have its own taste feature. Freshness of parsley do give it a slight much crips yet sour bitter after taste as you bite on the buttery bread. Very interesting. It is a dish that worth to order to check it out. Pattisez Malaysia at Bangsar had been one of the highlight by many others as it is the Australian bakery-cafe’s first franchise branch outside Canberra, Australia. The cafe was previously known for their epic Freakshakes monster-sized milkshakes heaped high with out-of-control toppings. In Malaysia, they were one of the early adopters to drive the trend previously along with few other inspired cafes.

Antipodean Cafe - Bangsar Restaurant

20, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Antipodean Cafe takes its very soul from the cafes that have gone before it, not only in the Antipodes, but also in Europe. The goal is to create a meeting place, a central spot where expatriates and locals can meet, chat, gossip, romance and chill out over a cup of excellent coffee and a place of good tucker. Other than providing a great cafe experience, we took it upon us to ensure the cafe culture will continue to flourish with the times.

Overall Rating: 7/10. While I'm writing this, merely a day after dining at Maria's, I came to realised that everything just felt... boring. There were no excitement, no surprises and nothing interesting on the plate that was urging me to dig into immediately. Don't get me wrong - the steak was good; the rest of the dishes were decent though average. Perhaps... I was just secretly hoping more.

Maria's Steak Cafe recently introduced a new set lunch menu and we were invited to their Bangsar outlet to check it out. For lunch, diners can choose from 4 different sets, all of which include a complimentary soup of the day and ice lemon tea / soft drink. The price of the set lunch differs depending on which main course you choose. The choices include Australian Wagyu 5 steak (RM80/100g), roast lamb (RM35), fish and chips (RM28) and chicken bolognese (RM19). The set lunch is available everyday, from 12pm to 3pm. Inside Scoop - Bangsar Baru Restaurant

9, Jalan Telawi 3 Bangsar Baru 59100 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Inside Scoop started churning ice cream in 2013, in a cosy store in Bangsar. Noticing a gap in the premium ice cream market where it was predominantly served by international chains, we set out to make great ice cream that is inspired by our Malaysian taste buds, eating experiences (which is a fair bit!) and current trends. We opened our doors with 16 flavours, but we are constantly testing out new ice cream flavours and we now have way more than 31 flavours (actually more than 70!) on rotation. At Inside Scoop, only the best ingredients goes into our ice cream. The fresh milk that we use is churned into ice cream within a couple of days of the cows being milked, our durians are carefully sourced from Raub (yes – going on durian eating trips is actually part of the job!), our tea is from Cameron Highlands, and our traditionally made gula melaka comes from Melaka.

After having a waffle at the Owl's Cafe, we went to try a waffle at a popular ice cream parlour which has many outlets all over the Klang Valley. The waffle is light and crispy. I tried a few ice cream flavours and found them to be too sweet so I chose Valrhona Chocolate (French chocolate) ice cream because the strong chocolate taste makes the ice cream feels less sweet on the tongue. This premium ice cream choice requires a top-up of MYR 1.90 nett to the price for a standard single scoop of ice cream with waffle at MYR 14.50 nett (before top-up).
