Golden Fragrance Chicken Rice Bowl, 16 ringgit I love prawn paste, I really do. It has a rather strong, peculiar taste that some may like and some may not. I love it, the more the merrier and so, is it any wonder why I opted for the Golden Fragrance Chicken Rice Bowl? As soon as I read the word (Kam Heong) under it, I had to give it a go. It was delicious

Salted Egg Fried Chicken Pasta (RM 19) The highlight here is their pasta and whats more is a Salted Egg Fried Chicken Pasta. This is perfectly above my expectations and is so good especially the aromatic flavours from their homemade salted egg sauce. The creamy blend of salted egg yolk sauce well mix with the al-dente spaghetti is just my perfect choice. Topped with the golden-brown deep-fried chicken which is juicy in the inside with the crispy skin.

They recommended us to try this Mango and Jalapeno sausage. It’s mixed with pork meat and encased in a really crunchy casing..just the way we love it! I love the flavour combination very much! I wanted to order this at first but my skeptic self (as usual) went for a safer combo.

To credit where it’s due, the minimalistic, warehouse-finished interior design and the effort to place some greenery in the restaurant is well done. The food is probably good enough to satisfy hotdog cravings but, however, nowhere near enough to knocking your socks off.

The sausages prove juicy & easy to enjoy - two of us easily finished five hot dogs (though we likely left behind some bread). Note however that the infusion of elements like cinnamon may turn out to be more subtle than expected, supplying nuanced dimensions of flavour instead of knock-out dynamics. There's potential for slow-burning pleasure, but probably no fireworks.

Eating is not just to fill the stomach, you can do that with mixed rice, but it's the entire package, environment, ambience, smell, music, style, serving and etc. This is what Ben's in BSC offer, and I would definitely come back for any lazy afternoon that I just want a place to stretch myself for a lazy lunch/dinner. Paneer Burger, 14.90 ringgit This was simply because we both loveeee paneer – cottage cheese and paneer served this way, in a burger? We just had to give it a go, too curious to say no, lol. It was pretty good. The burger buns itself was crispy and a lil sweet, which complimented the paneer itself, which basically tasted as paneer usually would. Good thing that their paneer patty was not too thin or else we would not have been able to taste much. Here, it was just right. I liked this dish very much. I’d order it again too.

Grilled Cajun Chicken Breast (RM 24) Their all time favorites and one of the best sellers too. Enjoy the tender chicken breast, oven roasted to preserve its juiciness. The meat comes simply moist and juicy. What’s make it better is where it is sides of sautéed mushrooms and generous serving of pepper sauce. The taste is not too spicy but I am loving the fragrant blend of the black pepper taste.

Piggie Pesto, 29 ringgit. This was good. It was a classic pesto pasta with smoked pork bacon and pork croutons. A lil dryer than the pesto pastas I usually have and with a whole lot lesser pesto sauce but it was nevertheless tasty. The pork croutons was a creative inclusion, it certainly did add flavor and some chewyness to this dish. There were button mushrooms scattered all over which added more texture to the dish. Overall, a good dish.

Ovo vegetarian nasi lemak (MYR 9.50 nett) with one hard boiled egg, tempeh, long beans, cucumbers, sambal and vege mutton potatoes curry. The rice has strong coconut milk taste and the blue colour is from "bunga telang" - the flower of the blue-pea plant (Clitoria ternatea). As I ate one scoop of sorbet and one scoop of ice cream, I had to keep most of the nasi lemak for dinner. I believe this is one of the lowest priced vegetarian nasi lemak around.

Oyakodon Ricebowl, 18 ringgit Between the rice bowl and the noodles, I was in love with this particular rice bowl. I am a fan of caramelized onion and this dish came with it, in a generous portion. It was da bomb. The egg resembled a plain omelette – fluffy and buttery. Underneath the bed of egg, there was a chicken fillet and sticky, gooey Japanese rice. Usually I like my rice bowls with plenty of gravy which was not the case here – but it totally worked. I loved it.

This is how their Thali set looks like and for 20 ringgit – I think it really is worth it. The set come with an option of 3 type of rice – white, parboiled and briyani, of which I opted for the latter, briyani. The rice itself was delicious, soft and moist, accompanied with cashew nuts and raisins. Then, you’d get 6 side dishes – 3 vegetables (spinach, potatoes, bittergourd), 2 gravies (sambar, sothi) and 1 portion of onion with yogurt. That is not all. Also on the plate is a cup of rasam and payasam yawwwww! + papadam. Okay, and then of a separate bowl is the chicken sambal with 1 huge, meaty chicken drumstick and green peas for garnish. It literally was like a mini food heaven – you’d get everything from starter, to main meal, to side dish and dessert. It tasted yummy. I would not change a thing except maybe for free flow of payasam? lol.

Set Lunches: Signature Thunder Rice, 18 ringgit The Thunder Rice was wholesome. It actually is a vegetarian dish with an option to add on chicken, 6 ringgit or salmon, 8 ringgit. In all the rush, we kindda forgot to add on the meat while placing our order and when we finally remembered, we decided to forego it anyways due to the lengthy time it took for the dish to arrive at our table. For a vegetarian option, it wasnt bad at all. It was quite delicious. I did not feel like I was missing out on anything, especially in the absence of meat.
