In the grilled form – the salmon was so tender and juicy! The karaage was good too as batter was crunchy and chicky was tender. The set came with rice, miso soup, salad, chawanmushi, pickled veggie, tuna and fruits.
7.5/10. Overall, a solid dinner. Can’t really go wrong with this place. A really cozy ambience with high quality food. (Honestly speaking, as far as restaurants go - as in not Omakase - this is definitely on the higher range in terms of quality of salmon sashimi).
Then came the Nippori’s Style Nachos Curry Cheese Duck. This dish is large enough for two to three people sharing and is available in two different variations. Either curry cheese duck or classic chicken. We ordered the duck option. The Nachos came at the same time as the Avocado Prawn Tempura Maki, which is a deep fried prawn tempura, wrapped in sushi rice, tamagoyaki and kyuri, each carefully topped with slices of fresh avocado.
So, my maiden trip to Maria’s Steakcafe proved worth the calories – a good place to bring the family or friends for celebration without busting the budget.
My Wagyu definitely hit the spot and cured my craving. Maria’s Steakcafe is well worth checking out for steak devotees, the wallet friendly price range also one of the attractive point too!
Empire Damansara might not have much to offer, but the restaurants & cafes in that area are definitely the reasons that why many keep going back to Empire Damansara.
这个角落非常适合拍照打卡啊! 不管是OOTD,或是喝咖啡、牵着脚踏车装逼都超好看的。
Verdict: A well worth checking out cafe in this area with extensive menu that can please your western or oriental palate.

Food tasted good. I enjoyed their Nasi Lemak. The chicken especially was da bomb. There were 3 medium sized chicken pieces which was about 95% boneless. I thought the 3 pieces of meat was generous in portion size, it lasted me throughout the meal. It was tender, juicy and crispy. I loved the fact that the outer layer did not have too much flour in it and I think the batter had spice added to it because it wasn’t just the usual fried chicken, it was a flavorful one
One can’t go wrong with rice and chicken, especially a flavourful one as the Grilled Portuguese Chicken & Dirty Rice (RM58). A whole Maryland seasoned with spices, is beautifully grilled and served on dirty rice. A hodgepodge concoction of liver and other spices, the dirty rice was fluffy and tasty, Served on a hot plate, the charred bits of the rice was sublime while the chicken was moist, tender and deliciously flavoured.
My Personal Opinion Tomahawks are well sought after these days as it's the ultimate 'wow-factor' steak. It used to be more common in top (and expensive) restaurants but I'm glad to see reasonably-priced ones popping up in more restaurants nowadays making it within reach of more diners. Even though we might not be able to indulge in a Tomahawk regularly as price is definitely a factor, nevertheless it's worth the money to splurge on one occasionally...especially the one here since it's also one of the more affordably-priced tomahawks I've come across. Having said that, the rest of the menu deserves some love too as I couldn't fault any of them either.
Reasons to visit: delicious and healthy food prepared with high-quality local product; the Italian Meatball Sub is amazing; the decadence in the tomahawk steak; the unique and delicious cocktail menu; Chef Vic knows what he’s doing.
